- The Yamaha Champions Riding School has been around for a long time and we've covered the school from a student's point of view before. But a school like this doesn't stick around for as long as it has for no reason. Motorcycle.com's Troy Siahaan attended the school again - this time not as a student, but as a pseudo instructor and a fly on the wall. The point was to see and observe how YCRS remains relevant in its quest to make riders faster and safer.

"Yeah, you can learn from the school of hard knocks on the street but that's also...a lot of times how people die." 🤣👍 Love what the school and staff are all about. On our bucket list, for sure.
If you aren’t learning something new every time you ride….use all the tools available….schools, books, videos….and miles….get out and ride!
I attended the 2-day ChampSchool with Nick and his crew last month. TREMENDOUS experience. You will likely love it as well. I would suggest taking your own bike/s to it instead of renting one from the school.
What's hard knocks?
Awesome video. I'm taking the ChampU video class and although I fully realize it's not the same as being there in person I have gained an incredible degree of knowledge which I practice every ride.
it was good seeing you there Troy! Fun times for sure.
Loved this 2 day course! I have a video coming of my experience (as a total track noob). Great video, it's insane how much you can learn in 2 days!
Holy shit that’s motojitsu’s Dad Fast Eddie ! It all makes sense now!
Greg your old mans a legend bro. 🤙
Looked like y’all were having so much fun that weekend at Buttonwillow
New rider here, less than 1 year. I can't wait to take the Yamaha Champion Riding School course!
You are doing it the right way. Not like some of us that learn first from the doctor’ knife and needles. Go to the school as soon as possible before you learn all the bad habits on the street.
@@adex967 taking the intermediate course in April, taking a few other schools (AC 1 &2, socal Supermoto, american super camp) then I want to do champ street school!
You won't regret it! I went to YCRS six months after I started riding. Two years later, I'm racing.
@@apsalar_coruscan hell yeah
Awesome video man!
Nice work Troy. I hope to meet you at a school someday.
What a beautiful vid, the interviews are great because of the relationships and respects they had.
Finishing 3 & 4 of CSS next month. Then YCRS later this year
A great tutor is someone who's undergone the hardest lessons, I always say. And Nick reminds personifies it. Great going.
Great video
Awesome awesome video!
7:07 woohoo you guys came to my local track sepang circuit! Maybe in the future I will be able to afford to attend a future session like this.
You have 3000.00 dollars ?
I can't agree enough with this video.
Ist there a school in Europe / best in Germany?
Would really love to build my skills and thus become a faster and safer rider!
How much is a single day?
Loved the vid but where's the link for those of us who actually want to do this?
Oops. Added in the description. :)
is a busa a good beginner bike?
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
"I don't understand why less riders are coming on this course"
It costs $3,000 for 2 days!
$3,000 and you'll advance as a rider by YEARS, and that's not an exaggeration. Both in skill and experience. I don't know about you, but I can't put a price on my life. I've done YCRS 3 times and will continue to do so over the course of my life because the knowledge and the experience is worth being a safer and faster rider. In less than 2 years, I went from being the slowest of my riding group to the fastest both on track and on the street. Riders are quick to spend thousands of dollars on exhausts, tunes, suspension, accesories, etc. the minute they get a bike but find it ridiculous to spend money on upgrading their mental software to be better riders.
Do they provide your bike and gear?
@@thumpertorque_ Yes, you can rent gear and any bikes from the Yamaha fleet from them (R3, R7, R1, MT-10, etc.) which makes the cost about $3000
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
xD
Almost 3000$ for two days is little to much.
If it was 600$ a day I’ll gladly do it but me as a new rider that’s a used track bike
