Topic 46: MOSFET CS Amplifiers Part 2

Just a heads-up: this video is pretty heavy on the algebra so be prepared to pause and take notes prodigiously. But, it's all linear algebra (except for the quadratic formula) so it's not too bad. In my experience (teaching this stuff at the college level for nearly 40 years) most students find that hardest part is seeing how to use KVL and KCL to derive useful equations and massaging them into the appropriate forms. This just takes time and practice. Now, to the actual content of the video...
We start by deriving the voltage gain equation for the unbypassed CS amplifier covered in the last video. Next, we derive the input resistance and voltage gain equation for the CS amp using drain feedback biasing. both circuits were constructed and tested, with results presented. A method for experimentally measuring the input resistance of an amplifier is also presented.
