    Thank you for these videos. I moved back to my home state of NJ after living in inner city Baltimore from 2012 - 2020. I plan on moving back to Maryland next summer after the school year is complete. My eyes are on Columbia, Laurel, or Silver Spring. Suburban life is the life for me, but I also like to have easy access to a good night out near the city (probably because I'm from South Jersey right outside of Philadelphia, so having a nightlife right at my fingertips is a must). Your videos have been making my decisions a bit more easier for me. I'm still undecided; planning on taking a trip down there in two weeks to get a feel for the three areas on my list.

      While we do have an agent, it is really tough finding a house with say a basement apartment to use as an in-law quarters in a good neighborhood not too far from Columbia and 95. My husband works in VA and I work in Columbia. We currently live in North Laurel/scaggsville (HoCo). Our home should be listed today or tomorrow. Your videos are informative and not boring which is great and are helpful in opening our eyes to places we may not have thought of. Thank you for taking your time to create all this content.

    I moved to Fort Meade, MD from Overland Park, KS in July 2019 and at first it was difficult to research "safe" places to live. Being out of state I have to depend on reviews and reddit posts from locals. Luckily, I was able to find a place on base being a government employee. In a few weeks my GF and i will be relocating to Annapolis for a bit more space and to be closer to her workplace. Before moving here I would definitely suggest doing research on everything from restricted dog breeds for dog owners to taxes and commute time during different hours of the day. Luckily I can flex my schedule to miss when traffic gets heavy. MD has alot of opportunities and we plan to be there for a while longer.

    Love the video. My children and I came here and unfortunately ex husband wouldn't allow family to help. I have autistic son who was hospitalized in silver springs over a month. Due to stress health and hotel stays we ended up currently homeless and DHS sent us to DC. My family is sad no very nice family needing assistance kids want a stress free environment. Noone is willing to help it seems

    • @livinginmaryland7837

      I'd say both are very safe. Mount Airy is more rural and has less of a population so it's very possible that crime stats might be lower there.

    I've been watching your videos for awhile, because I'm thinking of relocating to Maryland. My question, you hardly ever talk about prince George's County, MD. Is it that bad there? That's the area I'm looking at most because it's close to DC and not as expensive as Montgomery County. Can you please do a video on nice places in Prince George's county. TIA

    • @livinginmaryland7837
      @livinginmaryland7837  Před 3 lety +4

      Prince Georges County is pretty big and the more southern areas are far away from me, so I'm not as familiar with them. Property taxes are more expensive in PG county and client feedback over the years is that the schools are not as desirable as surrounding counties. I would look more into Laurel, Greenbelt and Bowie. Feel free to give me a call and I can give you more info if you'd like. Thanks for watching!

      I grew up in Bowie and it still is nice place to raise a family. My advice is to check out Anne Arundel County. I have lived there for 25 years in Crofton and its the perfect County. It is so close to Baltimore, Annapolis, DC and two hours away from the Eastern shore beaches. Highly recomend Maryland!

    Please anyone who wants to move to Maryland, don't do it! Unless you are rich or at least have a very good job so that you can live in Rockville - Bethesda area, Chevy Chase, and the Friendship Highs area (Montgomery county) near Wisconsin ave. Also Mount Airy, Bowie, Howard county those are northern Maryland and are towns in the country area. Follow my advice. I live here in North Bethesda and it is very expensive to buy a house or rent. Germantown is also nice but if you move in the country area. Please don't go to Silver Spring, Prince Georges county, Langley Park, unless you move to the nice area but surrounding is dangerous. Also healthcare is very bad. Hospitals don't have good staff or nurses. They are abusive. Especially now with the Covid19 pandemic, it is very crowded. It is terrible, especially when laws or the government don't help. I am telling you the truth and nothing but the truth. At least where I live is peaceful but buying a house is expensive. Houses are very nice though. I am planning to move maybe to Tennessee or South Dakota. Another issue is overcrowded. I hope this helps. Oh! please, don't move to Baltimore. It is the worst. Unless as I said you got money and buy a house in the good area, but surrounding is extremely dangerous in Baltimore. I was there last week and just to look around is terrible. The city is all reckless.

    Conservative counties are the best, however they are getting harder and harder to find. Maryland is a very, very liberal state. It is moving closer and closer to rotten California politics every day!
