Original introduction based on Virgil Fox's (1912-1980) transcription of "Now Thank We All Our God" from Cantata No. 79 by J. S. Bach (1685-1750). Verses 1 and 2 use the 1982 Hymnal setting. Verse 3 is based on Noel Rawsthorne's reharmonization while following the text of the third verse in the 1982 Hymnal.
