I was impressed by the generosity of ingredients in every sandwich! And the speed of making them. And the numerous types of ham( even if it's called Casa della Mozzarella it is much more than that).
Only when they are being filmed. Friend already told me it's complete shit and they don't have the time to do this kind of "generous filling" during rush hour.

The water! NYC has the best water for making bread and Mozzarella. Comes from lime stone runoff upstate. I used to make mozzarella. Got to use that wooden spoon too! It adds flavors to the cheese. Fresh Italian bread with seeds, prosciutto, mozzarella, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper, perfect!

As for Greece sample more their foods because Spanish mates went there are said without doubt Greek food is better. Go spend time. Around the British Isles and Greek islands. That was food heaven in a single upload! Once all the COVID madness is over I’m going to visit Italy for the first time, any area or restaurant recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
It depends what type of food you like... in any case, the various food you iust watched can be fiund pretty much everywhere in Italy. However there is way more. Italy is divided in 21 regions and beside the food you saw as well as pasta or pizza (famously know in Italy) there typical regional food less known nevertheless no less delicious. I am telling you this as an italian cook so I know what I am taking about!
you can find delicious food almost everywhere, just be careful to get the "local" food (we call it "zero km", cause it cames from the nearby). So better avoid seafood if you are inland, or better avoid a typical sicilian sweet (as an example) if you are not on the very island. So if you want a real pesto, go in Liguria (Genova/5 terre), if you want yellow rice with braised veal go in Milan, if you want pizza and mozzarella go in Naples... and so on. Of course if you don't have time to visit every place you can go with everything you want, but give priority to the specialities from the very area. (PS: the season have a meaning too... don't expect a good caprese salad on wintertime, it must be on summer for fresh tomatoes, as an example). About the restaurants, avoid all the tourists place, usually the one very close to some attraction... walking a bit to get a far but better restaurant is worth it (tripadvisor/the fork help and works :D). That being said, i think Bologna is one of the best place around to get amazing food... not only because it's the homeland of many famous italian dishes (lasagna, tortellini/ravioli, etc) and ingredients (mortadella/bologna, parmesan, parma ham, etc etc), but being sorta in the middle/north of italy get good products from all around the country. Enjoy your visit when you come! :D
This place is absolutely to die for. I visited them once a couple years ago and they let me in the back and tie my own mozzarella knot. I couldn’t believe it. The owner was sooo tired he was standing there with his eyes closed working with the mozzarella. Absolutely unbelievable, and the cheese was the best you’ll ever have in your life.
I have to admit, the italians know how to make a good sandwich...and a good pizza...and a good ciabatta (Panini, Rotterdam)...and a good pasta...and a good cheese...
