I’m starting a channel and bucking is my first short. for the last four years I have been spending a lot of time on CZcams and I always find the best talent. I will start watching channels with 5 to 10,000 subscribers and within a year or two they will have millions. I just have an eye for talent. 👁
Young guys want old trucks because they never had them and they look cool. Plus, it's what they can afford so they convince themselves it's a choice and not necessity. It's also a novelty that wears off really quick when you realise they suck in every category compared to a newer rig. Brakes, steering, suspension, towing, payload, comfort, mpg, lighting, all superior in a newer truck. I agree the older ones look cool. There's a few I'd like based on appearance. Then I remember how awful they'd be to actually live with. Depends on usage though too.
@@jfdb59 looks is only part of it, new trucks are cheaply built and run on computers. Old trucks are far more dependable as long as the frame isnt rusted out and the maintenance is done.
That’s is a really nice truck. I would suggest taking the oil cap off while it is idling to see if it has blow by. In the 2018-early 2020 model years the 5.0 some had ring problems and would consume oil. I’m not saying this to burst any bubbles. I just had to deal with this on a 2019 5.0 we had that had 54k miles on it when we bought it.
Great video. You could not stop smiling from ear to ear. You put a smile on my face. It is great to get pleasure in the simple things in life. Health to enjoy as we say in Ireland.
Newer trucks are very nice, but the old tuck were solid. We went from a Ford 150 Super Crew cab to a Tundra Limited Access cab. Love the Tundras now. Enjoy the journey your on, you will find the one that fits you.
Buckin! You've worked hard You've been honest and you've been kind . Your a good man. you deserve a new truck. If i could afford it i would buy you one .lol all of us subscriber's need to come together here and help out are buckin billy ray. Lets go.✌️
I watch your channel all the the time buckin. I have a 2018 5.0 truck just like that one with 220,000 miles on her. Never had one issue other than normal maintenance. Spark plugs are easy to change and everything is easy to service. You should get that truck.
Buckin, I’ve got an 18 5.0, absolutely love it. Also nice not worrying about body rust being aluminum body. Only thing to watch out for the 18-20 5.0 oil consumption.
i love the new truck journey your on, i did this just a year ago here in the UK, i got the mitsubishi SVP L200 (limited edition) it cost a couple grand more for mostly aesthetics but the minute i test drove it i knew i was going to be exceeding my limit that i'd set myself, it looks right, feels and fits me right and i dont even care that i only get 26 mile to the gallon :) you will be like a kid again Bucking, you will look outside and say to the wife im just going for a drive, no purpose....just a drive
Buckin', I drive a 2012 Ford F150 XLT 4x4...5.0L V8 Coyote.. ....no crazy electronics and I love it! Its a 2012 and ZERO issues with my truck, drives like new. 👍
I have a 2016 XLT 5L I bought brand new. Best thing about my truck is that it’s paid off! lol I hear some of these F-150’s have issues but I love my truck it’s been great and still runs like new. You might want to consider finding one without the moon roof if you’re going to be taking it off road a lot. The body will flex and you could end up with annoying leaks in the seals. Good luck on your purchase!
Modesty is the suit that you have re-written! You have worked so hard for this moment! I respect your opinion, attitude, and ability to make this decision!

That’s a really nice truck. I finally pulled the trigger and bought something NOT 20-50 years old and I haven’t looked back with any remorse or regret although it’s something to think about on the pocket book. I’ve never been into anything too fancy either but 4 old fractured vertebrae do appreciate the heated seats. Other people’s present moment has been my future for awhile and these modern things do spoil us after awhile. But you’ll never NOT want to drive an old truck too.
Something to watch for with this truck. I have a 2018 5.0 liter coyote, and turns out I have to use 93 octane premium gas in it. If I use anything less, it gets a lot of spark knock going on. Otherwise I love mine, very comfortable and great on long road trips. Also gets surprisingly decent gas mileage for a truck. Best of luck. Thanks for the always positive videos.
I'm 57. I've had a Chevy. Great truck. Like a car tho. I needed something tough and reliable as this was my first new truck. I reached and test drove for 14 months. I went with Ram. Am very please and will keep it for a long time. Nothing fancy, the classic with warlock package. Great work truck.
I had a 2021 F150 XLT, beautiful truck. 3.5 Ecoboost is a monster! When the twin turbos would spool it sounded like someone opened the rear window. It got T-boned and totaled but for 9 months I was LOVING that twin turbo ecoboost.
What I looked for in my new truck (same as you I only had old trucks). I bought a big diesel and I needed to have actual gauges that indicated oil pressure, battery amps, oil temp ect, tranny temp ect not just “dummy lights”. Good luck Sir
Hey Buckin, if you go with an F150, check out the Dualliner bedliner. It's got a recycled rubber bottom mat and then nice formed plastic sides that hold the mat in really well. The bottom mat prevents items from sliding under way, but still also allows you to slide things in and out. I've got one in my 2021 Super Duty and it's the best bedliner I've ever had, after a few spray on and full plastic drop ins. I'm sure you could find a distributor in BC.
I sold my diesel truck and got an F150 a couple years back. I have never regretted it. The comfort these newer trucks offer makes it worth it. You can drive for 4 hours and jump out standing upright. You don’t have to take 4-6 steps to get fully upright. Especially if you have heated seats. They make a huge difference for those of us with lower back pain.
Awesome. Man after the alcoholic years and finally head straight can’t wait to get to where u are sir. I’m finally getting my head straight and one day get a new truck like you. 😮
manifesting is real , i ve always thought i wood have something like this a long side my real trucks , just not this soon , we are along for the ride brother , very proud of you . you are in victory mode
I've always had better luck buying a vehicle that was a bit more than I needed, but I didn't have to make a quick decision on. You've thought this one out long enough. Whatever your decision is, you will be comfortable with it knowing you didn't make a quick decision that you'll regret. Good luck with your new truck Buckin !!!
I have a 2013 F150 eco boost FX4 with 112k. I love it! More torque on that turbo V6 than the 5.0 V8. Very nice trucks, and I’ve been a Chevy guy all my life.
Have fun truck shopping, Billy. I've always liked smaller 4x4 trucks with 6' beds to work out of (I'm a carpenter). 1991 Nissan, 2012 Nissan, 2022 Nissan, with a '96 E350 diesel in there, too. Full size trucks are just so big, and high off the ground these days, tough to get the tools into the back or the ladders up on the rack. I mean, look at the truck you're looking at with the tailgate step, that tailgate is hip height on you! Anyways, good luck out there.
I drove a beat up corolla for years and years because I didn't want to spend the money on what I wanted. Recently bought the truck I would have always loved to have, a 2021 f250 and I love it. Feels great to drive it. Feels great to look out my window and see it sitting in my driveway. I know exactly what you're sayin Buckin
5 oh, hi hoh! Looks like it may work for ya Buckin. Lots of room for hauling wood and passengers. Not sure how many kms you will drive but, it looks the part.I am a ford guy, I own a 68 mustang fastback, highland green Steve McQueen green with a manual hehehe.. okay, I digress, it's about Buckin getting new wheels. Cool hand Lukester seems to like it too! There are alot of trucks in the ocean so be patient in pursuit.. best of luck Buckin❤
I bought a 2018 F-150 platinum 5.0 with 50k miles a few years ago and my only regret i have is not buying it sooner, get ya a good tune for those coyotes, exhaust, cold air intake and a catch can and they will fly and still last forever, first thing i did 😂, love the content buckin
Lookin’ smooth in that F150 Buckin. I am totally with you. I like ALL the gauges . Gotta know that is going on! I would just ask the dealer or check the innerwebs for recalls or other issues commonly found and see if it needs service or has been done But it’s gotta fit right for when your on the long road
Buck, I just got a 2019 XLT 5.0 with 21,000 miles. Thing is absolutely great. Friends have the Eco Boosts and they were riddled with problems. Not saying the 5.0 has no shortfalls but it’s less complicated and it’s a coyote
Don't worry, my 2010 just hit 200,000 miles. It was a great truck, now a good wooder and still the every day go to work truck. Yours looks and sounds a little better than average. 👍
Looks sharp Buckin’! I have an XLT sport with the 5.0. Sport mode is fun!😉 Also, there’s a little added space behind the rear drivers side seat. The back has a latch that you can make it fold down with a little modification. If you’re interested how I fixed mine just comment back. I had a video of my mod. Cheap and easy. Brian
Buy it my friend, we are only here once, enjoy a bit of comfort, im 55 in july and my old body needs a bit of a break too so looking at a more comfortable wagon myself, love from the UK
I've always drove Chevy's and a few jeeps I bought a f150 last year love it supercrew can't say enough how comfortable and roomy they are happy shopping friend 👍👊
My 2015 F150 5.0 has 233,000 kms and still has every original drivetrain and suspension component. I did the brakes once at 198,000 and 1 taillight bulb. It’s been spectacular for me. More roomy for me than the GM trucks. 2 of my diehard GM buddies have since switched to Ford. Only thing I’d watch for is the 2018-2020 5.0 oil consumption issues.
Buckin. I bout a 2013 xlt just like that one. Coyote. It has been rock solid for me. I’m looking forward to the day I can give it to my sone because I am keeping it as long as she hold together. I think it’s a perfect fit for you and your style.
I'm almost 70 and looking too, want a 3/4 ton but my 2011 ram 1500 only has 70000 miles looks like new drives like new, not one problem... should keep it.
I just bought a 24 gmc denali 3.0 duramax. I absolutely don't cut wood for a living. But im still blue collar. Just (wanted) it. So I pulled the trigger on a heap of debt. You are totally right. I test drove mine. And it felt right. So if it feels right. Full send bud. Thanks for the videos and education when I have to help cut that tree down. 🍻🍻
5.0 coyote is best motor out there right now. I went 3.5 ecoboost. Just a tuner and its a rocketship. Truck is stupid fast. Your a cool dude buckin. Appreciate ya.
My old boss had a 3.5 ecoboost it was the highest stock rating, for an F150 it had way more power than it ever needed. He ended up getting rid of the truck, cam phasers fixed under warranty then a year later same issue not covered by warranty the truck got traded off.
@@Graveltrucking yes mine has had cam phasers twice. Ford finally designed a new phaser last yr that's solves this problem. That's really the only issue with the 3.5. the coyote is a bulletproof work horse. But you get more tow rating w the Ecoboost. Tuning u can't get the power on a 5.0 the turbos on a 3.5 make only reason I chose that motor or would have went coyote. I smoked a z06 Vette the other day 0 to 100. Four-wheel drive launch these these are crazy fast on the street. And still can tow my 10k camper. And get 22mpg unloaded hwy. You just can't beat these little trucks.
As well as how the truck feels its also about how you feel when in it. Does it lift you up or just awaken you . Its surprising how good you feel in a great comfortable truck. Now you have to make it your own.
I have a 2015 F150 with the little 2.7 ecoboost (twin turbo) I love it. 183k miles on it now. Never had to fix anything other than brakes and other maintenence things. Stock trans, stock turbos, honestly the thing still has the original spark plugs in it. (Whooooooops) I love it.
I agree the Chevys are a little too flashy. I have a 17’ f150 and I think it looks nice not too bloated like the tundra and Silverado. I also like that the bells and whistles are convenient but not over the top. It has dials for the hvac and real gauges. I like that the ford doesn’t have fake plastic chrome all over it. It’s a good honest truck.
Buckin from a fellow wood burner. The step in the tailgate is a pain in the a** when dealing with fire wood. I always end up with bark getting down between and popping the black plastic trim off. That is my only complaint. I have a 2018 f 250 with the 6.2. That truck seems to fit you though!
One last thing buckin you said you wanted to get a tonneau cover for which ever truck you get, I'm going to recommend diamond back truck covers they're an American made company in Phillipsburg pa, and they're all diamond plate aluminum very high quality and theft proof
Right on Buckin! That truck is sweet😊 its got just the right petina, looks good just as it sits, plain and simple...ya look good cruisn around in it...looks as it fits ya well🫡🫡 id like to see it rollin in my driveway some day brotatochip❤ love ya brother, from my family to yours
I have a 2017 f150. The 5.0 is a fantastic engine. I have the 6 speed and she pulls. All the modern electronics etc can be a pain if something goes squirrely but the 5 liter is a fantastic power train. Another great thing about the f150 is the back seats can fold up and you have a flat floor cab thats huge, you can load up saws and stuff if it's dumping rain. The dual overhead cam really lets her breath over 3k rpm, really starts to pull hard. The GM's have a more consistent power band, but it has plenty of power. They can pretty reliably clock 150-200k miles. mine has 58k miles, 0 problems. I would run 5w-30 over the recommended 5w-20. the engine runs so much smoother and its pretty well known the 20 weight oil is recommended as standard for fuel efficiency standards they are required to meet by the govt, 30 weight will make her happy. The same engine is in the mustang and runs 40 weight. You cant go wrong with the GM 5.3 or 6.2/ Ford 5.0
Been driving a 1987 w124 Mercedes-Benz through winters out in the hills of NY (winter tires are a requirement not an option), just bought a 2011 forester in the name of safety for the wife and kids. Friend with a brand new kia has it at the dealership more often than I'm under the hood of my Mercedes....
So I’m a ford guy my friend I’ve had a 2014 ford F 150 super crew since new and has 175k now So best wishes and your correct we don’t deserve Nothing but what we’ve been Blessed with
That thing is sweet! With 60K miles, she's just broke in. I agree the Raptor probably wasn't the best idea but still cool to think about tearing it up with one. It'd be awesome to travel in.
I had a 2016 f150, my dad has a 2020 f150…. nice trucks… check out the different driving modes ‘sport’ mode is a fun one. Keeps the motor at higher rpm’s, down shifts as you are slowing, similar to tow/haul mode.
Well, you are giving all the signs that this is the truck. You know it's right when you look at it and just love it, that's what it has to be. Matches your personality too.
Hey, I saw your video on the F150 FX four package. I just got a F150 with 88,000 miles on it. It’s a 2015 with low miles 5.0 L V8 coyote I think it’s the second GEN it’s got the FX four package lariat four-wheel-drive And I coded the frame. I’d love the truck because it never leaves 1000 RPM so it’s really good on gas I guess 17 in the city and 21 on the highway. I put a KNN air filter in. I don’t know what you ended up doing but I love the Ford F150 I have premium lighting package that looks like a raptor. They could not put another option on this lariat. Nice video.😊
I was doing masonry work in my early 20s. One of the crew was in his late 40s and bought his first new Ford pick up. Within 2 weeks one of the guys scratched the bed side all up with his belt buckle getting a wheelbarrow out of it. He was so mad...He parked it back behind his house, went back to his old truck and several months later. He sold the truck with less then a 1000 miles. I always wanted a black pickup as well...If I could just find someone to wash it every morning for me! They show dirt and knicks something awful...

But it’s gotta fit right for when your on the long road
Please beware of scammers pretending to be buckin in the comments section
Have a peaceful weekend

Buck, I just got a 2019 XLT 5.0 with 21,000 miles. Thing is absolutely great. Friends have the Eco Boosts and they were riddled with problems. Not saying the 5.0 has no shortfalls but it’s less complicated and it’s a coyote
Cruising Duncan for a new truck right on buddy 🤙🏼👌🏼
Truck looks good on you 🤌🏼
I have a 14 fx4 with the 5.0. Its been a great truck with 115kms on it. No issues . Go for it.
Don't worry, my 2010 just hit 200,000 miles. It was a great truck, now a good wooder and still the every day go to work truck. Yours looks and sounds a little better than average. 👍
Buckin the car looks great congratulations on the purchase !!! 👏👏👍👍👌👌
Feels good that I recommend this exact truck on his video a couple back this truck has a strong dependable motor
Just bought my F-150 last October, it's the same truck as that 2020 but mine is a 2018. I absolutely love this truck.
Brian
Congratulations Buckin
Buy it my friend, we are only here once, enjoy a bit of comfort, im 55 in july and my old body needs a bit of a break too so looking at a more comfortable wagon myself, love from the UK
ok . i will just cause you said brother ,,lol thx pal 😉
Good looking truck brother. Got a nice stance to it. Looks good in the driveway as well. 59k miles just getting broke in.
thats what im thinkin
Im with ya. need to see the gauges.
The old black ray bans on with the sun roof open cruising on the 19A! Can't beat it!
That dry patch under the truck is a leak that rejects water. Possibly brake fluid or transmission fluid
I've always drove Chevy's and a few jeeps I bought a f150 last year love it supercrew can't say enough how comfortable and roomy they are happy shopping friend 👍👊
Awesome work hard and see what you get! My new videos coming soon!
Perfection for the Buckin. It's you brother.
you bet
5.0 coyote is best motor out there right now. I went 3.5 ecoboost. Just a tuner and its a rocketship. Truck is stupid fast. Your a cool dude buckin. Appreciate ya.
My old boss had a 3.5 ecoboost it was the highest stock rating, for an F150 it had way more power than it ever needed. He ended up getting rid of the truck, cam phasers fixed under warranty then a year later same issue not covered by warranty the truck got traded off.
My father's max haul/max payload 3.5 eco has been a beast for almost 200k miles so for and still going strong
@SadlonCattleCompany Thanks, I didn't know they upgraded the cam phasers.
Glad you found something that feels good. Find what feels good.
As well as how the truck feels its also about how you feel when in it. Does it lift you up or just awaken you .
Its surprising how good you feel in a great comfortable truck.
Now you have to make it your own.
Nice truck get a good view of the red wood giants with the skylights if you travel through there....
very good point
I have a 2015 F150 with the little 2.7 ecoboost (twin turbo) I love it. 183k miles on it now. Never had to fix anything other than brakes and other maintenence things. Stock trans, stock turbos, honestly the thing still has the original spark plugs in it. (Whooooooops) I love it.
Congrats on your new truck Buckin!
thx
Awesome awesome go for it, absolutely you need something reliable for your long trips, and the comfort is going to be so nice.
Love seeing u happy man
We miss u
So I’m a ford guy my friend
I’ve had a 2014 ford F 150 super crew since new and has 175k now
So best wishes and your correct we don’t deserve Nothing but what we’ve been Blessed with
Oh boy Buckin' !! A new Feeerrrrd in your future? You deserve a new pickem up truck! Love you. Stay safe.
glad ya think so
I bought a new 2023 f150 stx last night. basic with a couple options, wheels and towing package. 4x4 v8. it's a great feeling
congrats
I came from a 6.0 powerstroke to a 2018 f150 5.0 and im mor then happy, these 5.0s run! Remember vanilla ice never wrote a song about an ecoboost!
Kinda the same,went from 6.0 to a 19 f 150 3.5
That thing is sweet! With 60K miles, she's just broke in.
I agree the Raptor probably wasn't the best idea but still cool to think about tearing it up with one.
It'd be awesome to travel in.
yes it will , w'ell see , yeah never know where this journey will take me . happen to life my brother ,, thank you
I had a 2016 f150, my dad has a 2020 f150…. nice trucks… check out the different driving modes ‘sport’ mode is a fun one. Keeps the motor at higher rpm’s, down shifts as you are slowing, similar to tow/haul mode.
yip
Must say Sir you look pretty good driving that new truck!!
he he thx
Well, you are giving all the signs that this is the truck. You know it's right when you look at it and just love it, that's what it has to be. Matches your personality too.
That’s a great looking truck!
Buckin, I figured you would start looking at least a Super Duty 3/4 ton Ford. With 8 foot bed. Good luck with truck hunting. Great show.
I have two of those friend . not after a work truck .. thx pal
Get the 3.5l ecoboost! I have a 2021 for a work truck and it’s been great. 93k kms and climbing. No real issues apart from maintenance.
That is a slick truck, my friend
ENJOY YOUR NEW TRUCK BUDDY ITS A NICE FEELING WHEN YOU KNOW YOUVE GOT A GOOD SAFE RELIABLE VEHICLE ,,,NICE LOOKING TRUCK 😁😁👍👍
thx
Heck yeah Buckin! Much love❤️🪵
Hey Bucking, I like your choice,
I bought a brand new 2011 FX4 and still have it today, and just to let you know that I have 435000 km on it.
I have a '21 xlt 3.5 EB Fx4 supercrew with some extras.. love it!
Congrats on your new truck 👍🏻
❤You’re going to find that right one for you Take your time looking
