A lot of people are sleeping on Zoroark Vstar. I’ve been testing it a bunch recently it gets a huge buff in Max belt allowing it to be one of the only decks to one shot charizard, you can draw up to 21 cards in a perfect scenario, it’s pretty consistent, and I play 151 Dodrio as a secondary attacker and draw support to make the Lugia matchup a little easier however the biggest problem I’ve noticed with it is that it struggles against chien pao but I think Zoroark is certainly a slept on deck that could creep into a handful of day 2s once people pay attention to it.
Lmao no... terrible typing... attack is dependent on having dmg counters on multiple mons and even then its pretty underwhelming... drawing cards is nice but usually results in making plays... what does Zoroark you know.. do? Lmao its a cool card but by no means competitive in the slightest
@@TheGreatPewpyOne what? Gapejaw bog, Gengar, and Damage pump make getting damage counters on your Pokemon easy. Plus with each of your Pokemon having at least one damage counter on them (which is extremely easy) you swing 280 with no damage modifiers (because of double turbo bringing it down)
@@TheGreatPewpyOnemfw i don’t know what im talking about
Got a list to share brother?
@@FloleLuYaR Gladly! I am planning on changing it a little because 2 choice belt is a little unnecessary without any real Vmaxes in the format anymore.
4 Zoroark V
3 Zoroark Vstar
2 Lost Origin Gengar
2 151 Doduo
2 151 Dodrio
1 CRZ Bidoof
1 BRS Bibarel
1 Lumineon V
1 Radiant Gardevoir
3 Boss’s Orders
1 Iono
2 Judge
4 professor’s Research
1 Roseanne’s backup (recover max b and DTE)
4 Capturing Aroma
4 Damage Pump
1 Super rod
2 switch
4 Trekking Shoes
4 ultra ball
2 choice belt
1 Maximum belt
4 Gapejaw Bog
2 psychic energy to attack with Drio or Gengar
4 Double Turbo Energy
Hope this helps! Again probably gonna cut at least one choice belt because although it’s useless on Zoroark it helps the math with Dodrio into Giratina and Arceus where it is a surprisingly good attacker.
i agree on the fact that pidgeot stall needs more cooking
Really hope Gardevoir gets another consistent attacker to slot in soon. Had a lot of success with the deck and it feels like it was just starting to get some upper placements right before it lost a ton of cards. Would love to see the archetype be able to continue to develop.
Getting back into paper pokemon, and preparing for a post rotation deck. Just found your channel and must say i loved this video. Your insights were so helpful and appreciated! Subbbbbbed!
I have been testing for raging bolt lost box and it seems decent, I won against lugia, turbo hands, and charizard, and its consistant enough for me, I will still test it but I see hopes for this deck in the future
Thanks Celio for this review!😁👍
I'm just glad I got my Tinkaton EX deck to still be functional with most of my searchers rotating out. It's clunkier but I'm working on that
Do you post full deck lists anywhere? I’m fiending to make some of these~
Yup! Decklists for every deck here: UPDATED Tier List & Deck Lists for Post Rotation 2024

So lugia has been teching in noverin ex for the hands match up. Does hands even have a out to it?
Noivern in lugia 👀👀👀👀
@@justinjenkins4301 it for the hands matchup cause it attack for 2 colorless males to where your opp basic pokemon cant attack this pokemon next turn. So by just having a single noivern and nothing else as far as i know iron hands cant deal with it.
😅
Been play testing, but also am ready to really sit down and analyze the matchups for the decks that are going to be commonplace in the next few regionals. The meta game is for sure a mix of not too unfamiliar decks we already know, but also good to keep an eye on the new game-changer decks.
Wow I wonder what the blurred out decks are?
I would say banette, meowscarada, and Garchomp
Metang perhaps
I think a meowsarada just got second plcae in a big japanese tournament.
I think entei/iron valiant with more Gouging Fire than entei will do better than expected
The fact you put chien pao above gholdengo hurts me tbh as a consistent player of both deck. gholdengo is the superior deck In my opinion yes it’s a stage one but the ability to just discard the energies with the attack from your hand instead of depending on a stage 2 pokemon. in my opinion I like how it lets you have more tech cards because you don’t have to worry about having them on your bench
Also it’s matchup against stall is quite good if you can keep only gholdengo in play, you have draw and damage on the same mon, no need for support pokemon in stall
loses to mimikyu
@@CeliosNetworkit doesn’t loose to Mimikyu with a Retaliate Zamazenta or two 😉
Luke, what about Banette ex?
I’ve won games with Wugtrio mill against Zard and Giratina, but also lost against decks that are considered worse, super luck based but fun
Do you have a nice post-rotation Wugtrio list you could point me to? Or just testing personal homebrews to see what works
@@braggleshnorf8885 I made one based on a couple decks that I saw, but I haven’t updated it for post rotation. I’ve been trying great tusk mill and I’m pretty disappointed with it
Hey can someone tell me how to counter lugia with charizard please ? Thanks
This format is gonna be wild and I’m all for it 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾.Great video as always brotha
Wish there were more competitive metas
Ima pull up to Orlando and win. See you there bro
What would you suggest for a newer player?
For a new player pick whichever deck has your favorite Pokemon and you’ll figure it out from there. Obviously pick a meta deck but you’re not gonna have as much fun with the game if I just come on here and say “play zard because it’s the BDIF” and then you hate playing it if you think Gardevoir is the most fun for you even though it’s not super meta play it!
Depends. Are you an overthinker or an underthinker?
Waited the entire video to see thoughts on Torterra and it gets nothing 😬
He’s a hater
That’s my bad, I didn’t make the tier list template. Torterra and wugtrio were obviously different from the rest and aren’t on the same tier as any of the other decks. Torterra seems super underpowered and would have been the bottom tier.
Mans really left Gengar ex off the list.... I haven't lost with it yet and I've played 30 battles with it already
Cooking up a Garchomp ex with 2 bolts and 1 hands :3
Bro is cooking for sure
Damn torterra not even in the needs to cook tier… he’s in the forgotten child tier 😂
I’m not sure why torterra and wugtrio were on the tier list template to begin with - they’re drastically weaker / more rogue than the rest of the decks listed.
The sad thing is the upcoming Tera Greninja ex’s first attack is infinitely better than Torterra’s first attack-just ten less damage than what Torterra does with a full bench while letting you search for a card-not to mention its second attack has far more utility as a bench cleaner. I’m not sure why Torterra ex’s attack doesn’t use a 40x modifier if they don’t intend to reprint Sky Field, since then at least it could OHKO the basics that OHKO it and beg to trade 2HKOs with everything else, but as a stage 2, I would have expected it to have Sky Field integrated as an ability like with Eternatus VMAX.
I’m just excited about Torterra ex as a collector. I’m not sure I had ever been more excited to see a Pokémon featured on an ex. Certainly I was the most excited I had been over a Pokémon card since I pulled a Squirtle Illustration Rare from a binder collection at Christmas. I’ll probably be buying it and the Full Art at some point.
The Turtwig line was the one I chose in my first Pokémon game, a copy of Diamond that was first leant to me by a friend, then given to me by him as a present. I have fond memories of the line as such.
No E S P A T H R A
Exactly! The disrespect is real. lol The underdog! 👀
Espathra was even covered by him twice in the rogue video.. but not good enough to make needs to cook 😭
I think your underestimating future box I think it’s going to be good
Future hands > Future box. I've run nothing but those two last few days and less clutter = more consistency, especially when you face a much broader field than last rotation
Some of these Decks have been Meta for a good while.
Everything OK but where are the decklist?
czcams.com/video/hFyz4dA4M5o/video.html
Why everyone sleeping on Incineroar EX?
It’s a stage 2 that deals 240. 240
Isn’t enough to ko
Most main attackers. It’s honestly one of those cards you could throw into
another deck, but it’s not that great as a main attacker.
cuz the second your opponent sees a litten they won't over bench
Apparently isn’t good enough which truly is a bit shocking to me. 260 dmg ain’t good enough I’m guessing or the other Relicanth combo attack. And it’s not even like an opponent not overbench situation imo, like 3 measly bench pokemon and you only need 2 energy already, which deck is fine with just 2 bench pokemon early game? Anyways I’m curious to see actual matches not playing it myself since I’ll focus on other decks 😅
Because is so dependant on Relicant in order to get one of its best attacks (by copying from Litten)
You are sleeping 😴 on Torterra ex
I hope you’re wrong about a lot of this because this looks extremely boring and a repeat of the format before.
It’s not even the first day of rotation, not only will people find new decks in the coming weeks but there’s another expansion coming out in like a month. Gren and oger fighting look busted
everyone forgets about gouging fire
Nah gouging fire is mid
Lmao nobody is forgetting we just all realized it's terrible
midraidon
Lost Zone Giratina is my main deck and I love it but I’m gonna try Snorlax stall so don’t hate 😂
New patch error 10011
How boring is this format looking 🥱
My 100% unique deck idea(secret!) will ROCK this format(probably not) so watch out for me.
Oof putting the pidgeot version over the bibarel version of charizard shows you havent truly paid attention to JP meta.. Bibarel is soooooo much more dominate than pidgeot, and isnt completely reliant on rare candy (in a format eith Eri, great tusks, etc you shouldnt be relying on that)
While you’re right that the JP format does show BibZard being higher, PidgeotZard has been getting a lot of tops recently. We also have to remember that it’s a Bo1 over there compared to the West’s Bo3 format.
@@gamer-gang-enthusiasthow does a Bo1 format differ from a Bo3?
Brother why in the world would you bib for up to 5 cards in hopes of grabbing the card you need when you can just pidgeot for it???? That’s like buying packs in hopes of pulling the card you need instead of buying singles.
This shows that YOU haven't been paying attention to the JP meta. Bibarel has almost completely fallen off in the meta in favor of pidgeot
