As a small British lad growing up in the 2000s, Doctor Who was my absolute favourite show. But the Sarah Jane Adventures being a spin off on the CBBC channel was incredible. It wasn't one of those patronising shows treating kids like they only like slapstick comedy, it was awesome. It was full of emotion and could have some serious action, but it was one of the best shows ever growing up. Even as a late teen, it's still enjoyable to this day. Oh, and the crossover episodes in series 3 and 4 were mind blowing for child me, seeing the Doctor in something else than his own show. The only reason it ended at five series was due to Elizabeth Sladens death, and it still makes me so sad to this day, she was an absolute gem
I remember being shit scared of the nun monsters in that show when I was younger 😂😂
100% Agree! 🙏🏻
This comment hits different, 2000s had some great shit on tv such as SJA and tennants dr who

Ikr
Fr I feel personally attacked that George didn't watch it
The fact Horrid Henry ended in 2019 makes me feel ancient. And Raven was an elite show - looking at it now, it didn’t age that great, but so many kids wanted to be on it. I miss a lot of these shows, now that my nephews are watching other things :’) Also, if anyone else watched Backyard Science (technically not British but oh well), Lab Rats, Fingetips, etc, I’d feel less crazy for enjoying all the science/art shows.
I hope to God the books are still being made
Wait horrid henry ended?!?🥲😱
was there a british kids gameshow called lab rats?? i remember it but can’t find it anywhere 💔💔💔
Lab Rats was great
Wait horrid Henry ENDED?
Bear Behaving badly, The Basil Brush Show, Grizzly Tales For Gruesome Kids, Horrible Histories and The Sarah Jane Adventures were all divine!
Rip Elisabeth Sladen. Sara Jane adventures will always be a part of my childhood.
Also horrible histories is just a masterpiece
Holly cow the best was bear behaving badly!
ahhh gruesome tales for grizzly kids and horrible histories are superior
It was grizzly tales for gruesome kids silly
what about brum
Max and Ruby looks like it was drawn by somebody’s grandmother and I enjoy it
I grew up watching Max & Ruby, Loved the laughter it had. Nostalgia all the way
“The purple hand gang”
That brings back memories
The Wiggles are one of the most highly respected and praised musicians in Australia to the point where a cover they made of Tame Impala's "Elephant" was voted the best song of 2021. If my daughter was receiving Greg's Wiggle wand I would feel blessed
"wiggle wand" really caught me off guard 😂
“greg’s wiggle wand” 😭 i get what you mean. Greg was awesome he was my fav.
Please say your daughter is of age
Does anyone think that they need a star on the Hollywood walk of fame like if you agree
Didn't they do a cover with Ralph Harris
The Mr bean animated show should've been on here. Sure, the sitcom and the films have objectively better comedy, but the tv show has a special charm to it.
the original seasons of the animated show were not made for kids and were shown on ITV (primetime, weekends)
they revived it in 2013, and it got shifted to made for kids

I'm very sad that Grandpa In My Pocket wasn't on the list, it was genuinely hilarious. That grandad was a menace to society and I wish him well on all of his ventures.
I also remember Numberjacks, Charlie and Lola, Alphablocks and Rory the Racing Car being alright. The theme songs for them all are bangers too.
exactly! these were the ones i grew up with, as well as enjy benjy because my grandma used to illegally download the episodes onto a cd 😭
@@libbyf51 I actually completely forgot about Engie Benjy until now. I don't think it was one I watched loads, but I do remember it being fairly decent.
What about Mr bean animated, it wasn't as good as the movies but it was class
@@gengar-edits3457 It wasn't bad, I was never a huge fan of it, but that might be because I wasn't really in the right age range for it.

"Thomas ain't even have to worry about chuggington"
Thats actually very true. Thomas has been going on since 1945 and is still producing new episodes (all be it exclusively for like 2 year olds now) while chuggington struggled to make it past half a decade before fading off.

I grew up in Australia and honestly, there's a fair bit of overlap when it comes to British kids TV and Aussie kids TV. About 10 of the programs you showed are pretty nostalgic to me, including The Backyardigans, Koala Brothers, Wiggles, Fifi and the Flowertots, Pingu, Harry and His Bucket Full of Dinosaurs and Mister Maker
Irish here ✋ we got overlap too
George: **Singing with the theme**
Also George: I wanna kick em all, i wanna set them on fire.
as a 22 year old who grew up in britain, i love the nostalgia these vids bring and when you rehear theme tunes. Funniest thing seeing george shout "its rollie mo" automatically like he's a sleeper agent whos trigger word was in the Fimbles theme song.
SHSJ I LOVE THIS
Nina and the neurons was a big part of my childhood, watched it a lot with my little cousins. I loved deadly 60 though, still love Steve Backshalls tv shows
Omgggg Nina and the neurons yes. I remember being so protective of my favourite neuron for some reason. I think it was the purple one
OMG MY FRIENDS BROUGHT THIS BACK UP RECENTLY. I said I needed something to draw (I don't draw good I was just bored) AND THEY SUGGESTED NINA AND THE NEURONS. MY CHILDHOOD.
As a 2008 kid who grew up with Horrid Henry, I think it’s safe to say that Horrid Henry is a fucking banger.
I remember when I went to Centre Parks (London) in 2009 and I saw Horrid Henry on the TV and I thought it was interesting, kids today will NEVER understand how good shows were in 2000 - 2009. 👍

Same goes for Auntie Mabel.😕
10:01 Listen here mate, Tractor Tom was an absolute banger. The episode where the chickens were attacked by an anonymous monster I shat myself and I can tell you, it’s better than 90% of horror films today.
If you're talking about the Haywire Hens one, Contender sure did know to build suspense
The show was made by the same people that did Peppa Pig
Watching this video with Basil Brush just unlocked a core memory about a nightmare I had as a kid...
According to the dream my 10 year old mind could come up with, Basil Brush was the mastermind behind 9/11 and he ordered the planes to crash into the twin towers.
At the end of the nightmare I remember asking him why he did it, what horrific scheme did he create that required the deaths of that many innocent people... his response was chilling...
"Ha ha ha ha ha... boom boom."
That made me wake up immediately as a cold sweat covered my body.
Omfg I’m crying 😭
This is the funniest thing I’ve ever read I’m crying
This comment just won the internet
🤣🤣🤣🤣
HAHAHAHAHA WHAT
fun fact about the wiggles. during the height of their popularity in the 90s, they would travel in 2 separate planes in case one crashed so the other half could still continue touring
To be fair, the wiggles were and are paramount to functioning society
I never knew that about the Wiggles but as a side note, how depressing would be if one of the original Wiggles were to die. They are one of the greatest forms of children entertainment and loved by countless children growing up in Australia and all over the world, myself included. It would be gutting as a parent to have to break the news to your children that absolutely love the wiggles that one of the Wiggles has died. Like when Greg nearly died when he had a heart attack on stage at an adults concert a few years ago. If he hadn't survived, Australia would have shaken by the loss of an absolute legend and life just wouldn't be the same without him.
i grew up with the British clifford the big red dog dub and puppy days on premiere that's now lost media but today i always think of john Ritter the voice of clifford thank you George for my nostalgia
So many memories unlocked omfg
Horrid Henry was one of my favourite shows ever and then there’s shows I’d rather forget.. almost naked animals. It was Canadian but it was on uk kids tv =‘)

How quick George goes from I want to kick there heads in to "it's roley mo" is incredible
Alay hey can you do me a favour
As a 2010s kid, I'm quite sad some of my childhood classics weren't here.
Sooty, Sweep and Sue- I literally cried for about a week when this got discontinued.
Numberblocks- Absolutely classic
Alphablocks- same thing
Horrible Histories
And probably more that I can't remember
You're a 2010s kid, that's the issue. The video was about early to mid 2000s nostalgia. There were a couple shows here that were before my time! But yeah for example, my 17½ year old sibling was the right age for alphablocks and loved it, but I was too old for it (I go 20 this month)
Dick and Dom in Da bungalow, Raven, Trapped, M.I.High, The Sarah Jane Adventures, The Sparticle Mystery, Bamzooki. All absolute bangers that I miss dearly.
Wolfblood was absolutely sick and I had the fattest crush on Steve Backshall in Deadly 60. That man is just magnificent, and he knows all about wild animals. Damn, this slapped hard.
I know this is a year old but I just need to obsess over MI High for a min lol. I watched it when it was still being released, but I also saw most of the episodes that came out when I was too young on CZcams when I was like 10-12, and it was so good to see all of it. S tier show. I was gutted when it ended. If they brought it back now I'd watch in a heartbeat and I'm 20 now lol
When I look back on what scared me as a kid, I'm usually like "that was pathetic how did it scare me" but Grizzly Tales is completely fair, that shit is still creepy even now.
I remember having the image of a cat scratching a detached human eye for years because of an episode of that show
@@happy.time.boredom Honestly I never made it past the intro so I have no idea about the actual show but I assume it's not much better
@@Composty_lol You'd be right with that assumption
A scene I remember from the show was someone having to walk outside naked (forgot why) and someone called them a "rudey nudey"

Bucket full of dinosaurs was the single greatest piece of artistic media developed by man.

i have so many stories to tell about so many of these shows oh my god. one i specifically remember was when i was 7 or 8 and i saw this card on mr maker that i decided to make for my mum on christmas. i was painting the card but then i had to open the kitchen cupboard to get flour (the card needed flour.) and i decided to hold the paintbrush in my mouth to prevent paint from getting on the counter top. i stood up on a wee chair to reach the cabinet and as soon as i opened it the door smacked me in the mouth, stabbing the paintbrush into the back of my throat. i had to go to the hospital, but i absolutely wouldnt tell my mum what i was making because i wanted it to be a surprise
Gutted "Trapped" wasnt on here, great show but kind of sinister with the kids getting locked in the tower
Elite show! I remember always wanting to compete in it, and playing the CBBC game avidly
I always assumed the kids just get left in the tower to die so i stopped watching after 1 episode

That was my favourite show for years!! 🌻🌼🌷⚘
Apparently I used to love watching Come Outside. The episode where Pippin went missing made me so upset and that’s literally all I remember from it.
My cousin had a fever once and freaked out bc he was shouting about pippin biting him through the screen
I have no idea why, but I remember this episode about a water shortage or something. I guess kid me just really liked it for whatever reason...?
The dogs dead tho
😫😓😔😖😥😣😵😩😞😟😢😭😭😭😰😰😱😱😱😱😳😭😭😭😭😭😿🙏🙏🙏✊❤❤💔💔💔💔💔💔💗💗
I looked into it the original pippinn died the year i was born oops
Her grandson did season 2 and three and I guess he's dead now
Grizzly tales for gruesome kids was probably that one kids TV show that I would love to go back to and watch more episodes, when they come out. I remember back in 2010 when I was only like 5-6 and watching it, some how I was never creeped out by the episodes, wether I’m built different or I’m a psychopath, which might be true. I feel like GTFGK was a show that wasn’t brought to light as much as it should of been. It had really good stories in it. I know a lot of newer kids shows that also aren’t really brought to light like skatoony (that how you spell it?) and
Puffinrock. I feel kinda sad that tv is dying. Though I guess that’s how me Nan felt when radios were dying. Or should I say “wireless”
Skatoony was so fuckin good :') not quite the same as new episodes but there are compilations of old GTFGK eps on CZcams, I rewatched them all recently and they still made me feel the same unease they did when I was a kid lol
I was never scared by it either but the storied were so good I still loved it
omg i had the yellow pram thingy from the fimbles as a toy when i was a kid!
I remember my grandad had a VHS tape of just various Playhouse Disney shows, it's been so long I can't remember if it was just a tape of a recording of Playhouse Disney or was a compilation of various shows from Playhouse Disney that was sold on VHS, and if I remember correctly (and we're going back like 12-13 or even 14 years here), Harry & His Bucket Full of Dinosaurs was one of the shows on that VHS tape
Does anyone remember the show Brum? That yellow ish car that comes to life in the garage and he rolls around the street, finding criminals n all that? Or was that some sort of fever dream? I had a whole vhs of it!
You've just unlocked memories I forgot I even had, goddamn.
Horrid Henry, one of the greatest British children’s TV shows of all time… I used to watch that a lot when I was a kid.
Same
CORRECTION:one of the best GENERAL to shows
I didn't like it because they😊 were white
@@momo-bv7hphow does that make you not like it
Cause I think the shows for babies and plus the show is like dennis the menace
My whole childhood is flashing before my eyes
As a younger child I used to watch in the night Garden before I went bed. It was just so peaceful.
I don't remember where these shows come from but for me Grandpa in my Pocket and In the Night Garden were bangers. Mister Maker was also amazing and Clangers is an honourable mention.
I'm pretty sure I live right near the house where grandpa I my pocket was filmed
@@blake_drawz9194 that is the best flex
CBeebies
@CreativeTacos bro i forgot which ones but there were these tiny nutcracker doll families and one of them didn't come for for like 99% of the episodes. I remember the triplets and the train and blimp.
I still don’t get how people like in the night garden. that show was creepy especially the intro with the boat
Seeing Horrid Henry in the thumbnail hit me with such a wave of nostalgia
Raven was an awesome show I used to love it and got really scared of the monks. Then there was the other one called Trapped with the kids locked in the tower who had to complete challenges with another person sabotaging them (imposter sus) which was really fun. Jungle run was a really good one too, but with that and trapped, all the kids used to think you could actually get locked in the temple or tower for real if you went on the show
Idk who you spoke to, but I didn't know anyone who genuinely thought a children's TV show would lock up and starve children to death for losing at it
I remember loving Pingu as a kid (even thought I’m not British) with also that one with the rabbits who are siblings
Im wrong its not petter rabbit
Earlier i said it was petter rabbit to you then i deleted it bc it wasn't
It's called Ruby and Max
I get WAY too much nostalgia from Mister Maker and Charlie and Lola.
I still watch Mr maker and I'm 12
And it's still awesome
