I remember when this irst came out. I was a long haul trucker and spent a lot of long dark nights haulin ass across nowhere to get somehwere fast. Living that life and the whine of tires and engine is its own kind of stress but I could slide this CD into the box and ...find some comfort there

I lost my "Catherine" back in 2003-4 and Now, My Father 3 yrs. ago this past November AND IF THAT'S NOT ENOUGH, I LOST MY ONLY SON, ALSO 3 YRS. LAST NOVEMBER The SAME MONTH AS MY FATHER. My Father passed away the first of the month, and my SON at the End of the month. Which fell on his Daughter's 18th. B-DAY! YES THAT'S RIGHT! My Son Passed away on his Daughter's YES MY Granddaughter's 18th.birthday! Now it's Me and My Adopted Sister. And I still have "God" and a few GOOD FRIENDS! CAN I GET A AMEN!

I have watched this video many times. As a heavy metal guy all i can say is that my words are wholly inadequate. Throughout all of our lives we get fortunate at times to hear and see things that come from deep within the soul of the universe and in that moment, that instant you recognize genoius, perfection, love, and kinship that we all wish would remain in our hearts and thoughts so that when we are needed or in need we find strength and beauty in others. This song was played at my daughter’s funeral back in 2006. It still tears me up to this day. My Michelle was a victim of a domestic homicide suicide. And the man who murdered her shot and killed himself afterwards. Some days it’s hard to get through even a second of the day but I thank God for my memories of her…Hold your loved ones so very close to you and keep your ears open for any distress that they might show you. Sadly I missed all the signs and it was too late to help her.
God bless you and keep holding on and tell your story over and over, you could save that one person.

my mom passed away in 2004. i was just 13 years old, right before school started that year she passed. this was one of her favorite songs. i begged and pleaded for this to get played at her funeral, and they did. this song means so much to me, not only from then, but now. the lyrics are pure gold. the older you get, you get more and more tired for the street live. vultures and thieves at your back. life gets old sometimes, and unfair. i hope we all can find some peace tonight.

Though this is an old performance, yet, the most captivating performance. It is a brilliant performance from both. Josh’s harmony is absolutely outstanding. He lifts the song to new levels. Doesn’t take away from Sarah’s performance. She is par excellence. Together surreal.

I absolutely adore Josh Groban's voice, and really don't like the women he chooses to sing duets with. I'm not a fan of Sarah McLachlan. She purposefully drowns out Josh Groban.

But for real, he is singing harmony the rest of the time. First, harmony is meant to be an accompaniment, not a primary part. Second, much of it is in his falsetto range. Sarah, who wrote the song and is singing the melody part she wrote for herself, is in her power range.
So in short, your musical instincts are correct that she is outpowering Josh. But there are several very good reasons why that is, and none of them have anything to do with being malicious.
