Is that definitely confirmed? I saw his tweet, and it does kinda sound like him but I couldn’t see any sort of official voice actor roster for the game.

Dale Sapwell yea I knew he had previous VO experience, and the voice KINDA sounds like him but I don’t want to think if it’s him or not until I know for sure. I looked everywhere but not voice actor list for the game yet. Hoping to see some sort of official list soon, but excited either way.

She came off extremely annoying and cringe here, compared to the new standard we have with the animated show.
Someone pointed out that each of the members has a movement ability that correlates to a JL member they'll face. Quinn has grapple hook, deadshot flies, boomer has a speed force rang and king shark is a shark.
Think they’ll be playable?
I’m glad they kind of all have “superpowers”. Even Harley with the grappling thing and Deadshot being able to fly. But giving Boomerang the super speed ability and the other two I mentioned will actually make them feel capable. And you won’t run into the stupid “he can climb anything” stupidity just to give a normal human being something to do
i think boomerang throws ty boomerang and teleports to it.

what did you think he was going to say? evertyhing he said was scripted along time ago, they won't come out and say we have lots of more characters in this game. that's the business, you should always have something in your sleeve to check the hype in balance,
plus, in a game like this that has so much potential, it would be a waste if they dont use other characters like deathstroke (which i'm pretty sure we are going to see him in the near future), katana, peacemaker, enchanteres and alot more!

Boomer's son had super speed but itwould return him to wherever he started so basically it boomeranged him. so they just gave him his sons powers.
Was it just a teleport boomerang?

@@Flynnhannam he only did it to catch though, I'm guessing as a gameplay mechanic it'll be like tracer being able to super speed back to a point or speed up to his boomerang. Would be impossible to control super speed if only he has it. If his son boomeranged then I guess it works like he either has to set his return point to his rang and he uses it as a teleport but also dashes to it and hits everything in between.
captain boomerang is the same voice as junkrat from Overwatch right?
I think so, but it’s a pretty generic Australian stereotype voice so it could be anybody.

Tight this was so annoying, glad I watched this first before watching this version. Then blessing says did they say this or that, maybe shut up listen instead of saying useless crap.

Of course you can hear it elsewhere. My issue is that when KF talks over that info - THEY don’t hear it, and therefore don’t react to it. That’s the information that warrants the most reaction, in my opinion.
Anyone else a little disappointed that they mentioned that those are the only 4 characters. I'm still here for it but seeing Superman just made me want a Justice League game. I think I was hoping for more and I'm a little bummed that we probably won't see gameplay for another year but we'll have to wait and see

How is this an arkham continuation? Harley said she could finally get to kill batman but he's already "dead" after Arkham Knight?
Deadshot was also an older white man in the Arkham series. So yeah, not sure how it's a continuation.

Disappointing this is all the showed and that they teased this at all considering the 2022 release date but par the course for some big studios.

Gotham Protector Certainly, but king shark, harley quinn, captain boomerang and deadshot dont bring any seats in the door so this SS game has a lot more to prove imo
Gotham Protector You’re caping hard for Rocksteady. The consensus is that Arkham Knight was a decent game but it dragged in the car section and the story was just okay. U can have your own opinion ofc but that’s what the overall sentiment was.
I have no doubt there will obviously be more to show, I mean there’s 2 years left but deadass nobody is super hyped to play these characters like that. Nobody has ever asked to play as any of these characters, maybe Harley Quinn at most. Alot of people were wanting that Superman game they were hinting at in Arkham too, and them changing Deadshot from white to black already means they dont even care abt their continuity like that so yea, got some ish to prove my guy

Gotham knights tbh has sold me more seeing as its only 1/2 player instead of another marvel avengers game . Ss though being open world will be way more enjoyable than the boring / shitty loot in warzone
They said this is part of the Arkham games but they retconned a bunch of stuff..like Deadshot was white for the other games. Oh and King Shark and Captain Boomerang are both dead.
Rocksteady never really considers WB stuff as canon, they dont really include origins in their canon even though it can be considered arkham canon. The suicide squad animated film was set in the arkhamverse but was developed by WB, not rocksteady... so i think rocksteady is now delevoping their own vision for the suicide squad.

Captain Boomerang dies in the Arkham Knight comic and doesn't change the fact they still changed Deadshot for I guess movie reasons? They shouldn't call this new game part of the Arkham Universe if it's not.
Yeah i think the deadshot thing is a retcon, most casuals now think of deadshot of being black because of Will Smith, and Deadshot never really had a major part in the 3 game entrys so it'll be a PC retcon, plus its in fashion these days to retcon white characters to black ones..
The fact that king shark canonically loves Bojack Horseman is the only thing making me want this game
That and rocksteady is my favorite game company and they make absolutely amazing DC games

Everyone is guessing Boomerang has super speed now, but after watching the Gotham Knights video I wonder if he also has a teleporter in his boomerang? So like he throws it and basically warps to it to jump around easily. I vaguely remember another game having a mechanic like that, might've been Brink or something
I'm into it. Gotta see what gameplay loops it has before I'm 100% in, though. Kinda surprised it's still so far out.

Rumor I heard was they had a Suicide Squad game a few years ago but it tied more into the movie. But after the movie was panned they went back to the drawing board to do something more original with the property

trailer was good. but I was wanting a great single player experience, not a 4 way co op sunset overdrive spin off game, esp from rocksteady, they have the pedigree to tell amazing in depth stories, i just dont see that here, maybe its because its a long way off but still, totally killed my hype for the new rocksteady game.
I'd of rather them of tried to tackle a gritty superman game, or even the rumoured teenage ninja turtle game, that would of been epic, I mean they already have a great gameplay element from the batman games, could of easily translated to it.
I think the voice actor playing captain boomerang also does the voice of Junkrat in Overwatch.

Gotham Knights looked okay but no idea how Suicide Squad differentiates itself other than a cheeky role reversal. Still struggling to understand why these games exist separately rather than one giant GaaS package.
Sorry, just not that excited about what WB is doing. It's still early but nothing about either game made me hyped. I did not go into today thinking I would be infinitely more excited for their movies than their games.

Looks like they gave Captain Boomerang in this game his son's powers of speed bursts. I thought it was Owen at first, but the video shows George's name clearly.

WB Montreal’s last game was Arkham Origins in 2013, and Rocksteady’s was Arkham Knight in 2015 (Arkham VR not withstanding). That means 8 and 7 year dev cycles respectively.
On an unrelated note, I think I might’ve figured out why at&t is trying to sell off their games division...
They haven't spent that long making the games. Clearly, they had cancelled projects before this.
@@ChloeCinema probably true, but the exec's at at&t don't care about that. All they see is expenses going up and no games going out, which means even more pressure for these 2 games to sell HUGE!

Beyond the regular moneymaking Lego games, Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad being IP-based co-op games is music to investor's ears. And the Harry Potter game plus whatever Monolith is working on are upcoming as well.
My only question is the gameplay will it be like the Arkham games or are we looking at a diablo style game darksider genesis game
Incorrect, there is only 1 deadshot alter ego, they just swap out his race in media. Definitely doesn't make sense in this continuity though. I'd say this is very loosely tied to the arkham series

I was very interested in this one but I'm not sure anymore. Was hoping for a bigger roster of the Squad. More importantly I hope that the game actually let's us go up against the Justice League at point of purchase. I worry that new roster members and new targets are going the games as a service route and we'll have to wait months or years to finally go after the whole Justice League. Plus no gameplay is a bummer since the trailer means nothing if that's not what I'm doing in the game.
@Gotham Protector sure they gave us 3 good Batman games even though for me Arkham Knight was not a great game for me. Combat always strong but the batmobile and the arkham knight story was done poorly. I won't be ashamed that Rocksteady didn't show gameplay and I will judge what they showed. The game looks to be going GaaS which is not my favorite. When gameplay comes out I'll judge that too but to say I can't opine on something they showed after being quiet for years is nonsensical.
I say GaaS because it's 1-4 player. Not because of Gltham knights. I say roster as in playable characters. They say Metrololis is the fifth character sounds like it will only take place there. Now I hope the game is good but it might not be up my alley. You can be excited. The whole Justice League better be in the game and we actually hunt them down. The inclusion of Braniac seems like that story will be abandoned to go after him

This trailer/cinematic totally watered down my enthusiasm for this game, really didn’t like much at all at what I saw. The bright colours, the focus on more co-op play rather than single player experience. It’s a fair while away, 2022, at least now I don’t real care that it’s a long way off now, so that’s a plus I guess.......

So basically they were making a Superman game, couldn't get it to work and switch it to a suicide squad game instead using all the Superman assets. Lemon to Lemanade. kinda messed up to play a game set in metropolis and NOT be Superman though. Hell they don't even have a Superman villain in the Roster It's Batman and flash villains. OK technically King Shark is a Superboy villian having his first appearance in the Superboy in Hawaii Series so he counts but still.

As much as I really enjoy the trailer and the game looks interesting, I am still waiting for a dev that are brave enough to make a superman game. As a superman fan thats one of my dream.

ehhh i literally couldnt care less about the suicide squad and shooting guns n stuff...going from 3 games that nailed feeling like batman and set a new standard for comic book games, to this, is kinda disappointing. guess ill wait for gameplay before making judgments......But I'd much rather have a Teen Titans, Superman or Justice League game. I dont understand why DC is pushing the Suicide Squad so hard...
