- In this video it feels like Begginners mistake as we have been travelling for two and a half years and we should know better.
We visit Mataranka and swim in the hot springs and get to see Nathan Griggs and ask him three questions. Mataranka Homestead is our favourite place to stay when visiting Mataranka. If you watch this video , you will see why we come back when we passing by.

When you see pine cones chuck some in the tunnel boot, they are the best fire starters .

For firefighters we use no frills, as in Coles or Woolies brand tea bags soaked in Citronella. We always have 2 plastic bottles ready to go. They work a treat & don’t flare up when you light them. Also, just letting you know that apparently most men can’t float. Both my husband & adult son can’t float. 😂

That is annepic idea! Can just pick up a bottle of citronella next time we are at bunnings. That is amazing, I can't imagine a life without floating about! Must be the bone density 😄

Our wall mount washing machine sets me off into hysterics…..every time it shakes the van I worry that it looks a bit….well…rude🤭😬🤣

Another great video guys, but question.....Why are the truck batteries going flat ??? And FYI ,removing the terminal to make a "spark" has nothing to do with waking up the battery. The Battery Managment System (inside battery) turns off in an effort to preserve the battery, and because its OFF, no voltage across terminals so most smart type chargers sense no voltage so therefore dont supply any charge,and atthe same time the battery doesnt detect any voltage at terminals so stays OFF. Best solution....leave all conbnections on, in your case there plug Ac charger in and turned on, or start your truck running, connect a jump start pack across battery momentarily, battery now sees terminal voltage, BMSsays "thank you very much", turns on inside battery, and this chain of events starts the charger supplying charge......simple as that ....but your batteries should only go flat if you are off grid,nil solar no car charging for several days....Hope this helps...cheers...Look forward to next vid...and Sue, I think you need to knock him about a bit, get him sorted right out...lol

Lesson 6:- coke cartons don't burn! Keep an old newspaper in the wood box. There is always something to eat. A few cans of this n that along with a spud or two makes an excellent feed in an emergency.

Olive oil works great to start a fire, use paper towel instead of cardboard as it tends to soak up the oil better. Great video as always!

my fav method so far has to be to cut the top of a tinny, put some sand in and soak with fuel, best DIY fire starter I've found yet.

Should be able to wake the lithiums with a jump starter, are they itechworld? This is how I get mine out of safe mode, there is also a switch you can buy (I still haven’t wired mine in yet 🤦🏽♀️) that makes it as simple as pressing a button
We were at Mataranka at the end of March, hardly anyone there and had all the springs basically to ourselves and had an amazing time
We got caught out with all shops closed on the Sunday too 😂 but we still had plenty to choose from

Easiest way to wake up a lithium BMS Is with a lithium portable jumper pack and then charger up.
Hi guys, we have had our pop up pit for 5 years now and have the bbq attachment for it we use it whenever we can. It is great that you can move it after its lit if wind changes direction etc. Loving your posts, keep it up.

The 79 does not have solar because of the boat but we do have a solar blanket which we just have to remember to put out 😂😂

I put pannels under my boat, generally im travelling when the boats on and sitting still when the boats off. works for us.

A good way to start a fire is to dry your old tea bag's and then soak in kero and use as fire lighter 🔥 👌

And also you may strip the gears on stableiser legs if you keep using a impact, try a drill instead it won’t give it the impact force
