You can easily reach behind the rear bumper and take that plug out instead of removing the casing!!!

Just got mine in the mail today. The tape trick makes it super easy. These lights are great, map lights are super bright. This is a nice inexpensive way to to fix those useless dim yellow lights, you won't be disappointed. Money well spent!

I just used PrecisionLED's light kit on my 2018 Tacoma TRD Sport and it's really easy. Even the license plate lights can be replaced without popping the whole unit out. You can use your hand or a pair of needlenose pliers to twist and remove the light bulb harness from the unit. No need to jiggle and wiggle the plastic casing out! Total install time was 15 minutes or less.

Little tip for the license plate lights. You can stick your hand up under the bumper and push the light out with one hand while prying with the other with a tool. Makes it much easier!

That tape trick did NOT work on my 2019 SR5 at all. It took me literally less than a minute to pop the whole map light console out of the roof. You pull down on the panel to the rear of the truck, then pull down on the front side. It takes some pressure. The console pops out then you can do a quarter turn on the sockets from the back. It works a lot better than going through the lens.

Hey a little fyi it's easier to do the plate light from the under side of the bumper. Just turn pull replace. That simple. You don't have to pull the whole light out and risk breaking it. 👍🏻

That is unfortunate. We only sell pure white colors in the 6000K crystal white and 8000K cool white. I think you would be happy with either choice! The 6K is installed in this video.
Will this work on a 2018 Tacoma? On the website it says 2005-2015.
We apologize for the confusion. Yes, the package linked in the description would be compatible with the 2018 Tacoma, as the 2018 is listed in the same generation as the previous years.

No, upgrading your lighting will not void your vehicles warranty, as it is protected by the Magnuson-Moss Act.

Hey i was changing out the bulbs in my 2016 tacoma and they were fine and few min later nome of them work . What might it be i tried the old bulbs and nothing i checked the fuse and it looks fine

Was changing my interior mirror lights and the LED did not fit and not it doest turn on :( none of my light turn on from my tacoma

What color led did you used for that install 6000 or 8000?
For the installation video, we used the 8000K color temperature.
Tape trick did NOT work for me , but a piece of same size tubing worked great with hot light bulb

Can u do back light in color blue. I tried and I got an LED from Advance Auto and it wouldn't work I guess I don't have enough charge or something is there a bulb and a number that I can order that's blue that will work
I have a 2016 Toyota Tacoma
Unfortunately we do not sell blue lights. We have two colors, 6000k crystal white and 8000k cool white, and the cool white does project a very subtle hint of blue!
What size is the dome light?
The bulb fitment for the dome light is 29mm.

They fit all third gen Tacoma’s. I just installed them on my 2020 Tacoma.

Yeah, everything should be pretty much the same across all 3rd-gens. I have a 2020 trd off road. But just be careful, and read more of the comments here, because there's a few methods shown in the video that are somewhat questionable...

In my in my 2020 Tacoma, the dome light's plastic panel has larger tabs on the rear than the front. DO NOT PRY THE REAR TABS FIRST (as is shown in the video). Luckily I was very gentle and didn't break anything, but the same might not be true for another person. The front tabs are much smaller, therefore it's DESIGNED to be pried from the front!!! Trying to force the big tabs out first could potentially break them!!! The Toyota engineers chose a hard, rigid plastic for the light covers, but that means they're also going to be more brittle, and easier to break than a softer plastic! So... BE CAREFUL.

Thank you for contacting PrecisionLED. Unfortunately, we do not have an install video for your vehicle just yet, as we have not yet gotten our hands on one out here in Los Angeles, CA. However, the installation process is virtually the same for all vehicles. The halogen bulbs are very easy to access with our trim took kit, which comes complimentary with all of our interior LED packages. I would recommend having a watch on some of our other DIY videos, and you will gain a general knowledge of how LEDs are installed. I have linked our How-to Page below for your convenience.

Yes, our LEDs will indeed dim on/off. They will act exactly as your halogens do. They will just be much brighter with a nice LED look to them.
Thanks, went thru bottom and I dropped the light bulb in the lens. Your video is much easier then the bottom method if you have the tools.

Did you flick the switch on the dome light?
This is often an issue with lower quality LEDs. We only sell high quality Canbus products to ensure you do not experience any issues like this.
How does the brighter reverse lights affect the backup camera?
Thank you for your interest. Because the reverse LED bulb will be much brighter, you will have much better nighttime reversing visibility on your backup camera.
