I definitely think Alex has more striking power than Jiri at least in terms of boxing, Jiri may have stronger Muay specific strikes.

I think particularly for Jiri on the defensive side of things. Head positioning and protecting himself there is gonna be a huge point to train. You don't want to blitz and then eat a patented Pereira knee. If he's in, all the way in. Stifle the punches and type of knee pereira likes. If he's not then he needs to stay far away, out of range of punches and only maybe stuff like teeps. The size diff here I think is something to think about on Jiri's side despite Pereira's wrestling and grappling game being very subpar for a ranked UFC guy. Pereira's likely going to be in the 230s and have a good ~15/20 lbs on Prochazka. Might play a distinct role in how that clinch situation especially plays out

@DevilDogMartialArts- do you think Jiri doesn't cut weight to make 205? I think Jiri is a bigger person than Alex. I think Alex has a punchers chance but Jiri has way more paths to victory.
They are probably about the same size naturally. Idk if I would say Jiri has more tools though. Pereira is a real wizard with his striking. He’s extremely technical and this fight will probably stay standing. When I said I can’t make a prediction I truly meant it

I wonder how much of that is the weight cut for pereira though. I’m not disagreeing, I just can’t begin to call this one. Both of these guys are some of the toughest technical strikers in the ufc
That's what I think too.. Jan is losing his ko polish power as he is getting longer but still almost beat Alex.. Jiri will definetely find a way to finish him.
