The dead giveaways between the boys is Scrim talks about his drug problems and Ruby has the girl problems. Of course both of them have both those issues. Although if you never get it right, I don’t care. What you’re doing here is truly amazing. Watching you breakdown their lyrics gives me the same feeling I once had hearing each song for the first time. They really mean a lot to me. Somehow it keeps me going. I had planned over a year to hang myself on a certain date. But then Escape From Babylon came out that day and here I am. Thanks for the content, it really does mean a lot.

Grey till the grave. They saved me too. As long as their around I won’t feel all the torment I do from anxiety disorders I have no control over while they send me over the bridge full of spikes and lost aspirations at the bottom. They keep us going. We all have the same pain just different versions of it all.

When Ruby mentions Christ, he's referring to Scrim. The boys have a ton of nicknames that go back years and can definitely be confusing. $crims nickname is "Yung Christ," amongst many reoccurring ones like: yung scarecrow, slick, lil cut throat, etc. etc.. Ruby also has reoccurring ones like: Oddy Nuff the Snow Leopard (Oddy for short), 7th Ward Lord, yung plague, etc. etc.

Thank you for all you do brother. $B has been a part of my life since 2015, the height of my addiction. As the boys took there journey to sobriety I was going through my own journey. It was mind blowing that a rap group was speaking about experiences I was actively going through. Been clean 3 years from heroin.

I suggest listening to A Man Rose From The Dead ($crims solo album) and Pluto (Ruby’s solo album) because they are both great and they might help you distinguish their voices better.

To help separate them, Ruby has the higher pitched voice (its not high pitched but its higher) and Scrim has the deeper, harsher voice. The order went Scrim, Shakewell, Ruby... getting better though!

Scrim is Christ or Yung Christ as Ruby mentioned in the 3rd verse. Scrim has a more raspy voice. Shakewell has a distinct sound he was 2nd he always talks about drug problems also.
I don't mind that you confuse the boys...but to me, Ruby's voice resonates and hits in a special spot so there's no confusing for me 😅

Your reactions to the new album are the first time I've listened to it...i started my $b journey in 2019, got clean in 2021 and with 2 young kids, sometimes their music is harder to relate with bc they do talk a lot about drugs and sexual things and that's not where I'm at anymore and not what I want my kids to listen to lyrically..but the beats are always lit no matter what..I'm listening ear buds in lol
If you don't do the whole album, Whole Lotta Grey is a must listen.
