When I first purchased my 100ah lithium batteries, the instructions said to fully charge the batteries individually on the bench, then connect them in parallel and let them sit for a few days. Sure enough. They balanced.

Re: the leaky tank...I have a 2018 Wolf Pup that leaked with a full tank. Turns out Forest River didn't install an overflow hose connecting the tank's overflow connection to the overflow valve! I thought it was a mistake, but after some digging, I discovered it is/was common with the Wolf Pup, if not all Cherokees! Unbelievable! I installed a hose-no more leak.

Thank you for doing this. I don't have an RV yet, but I am learning what I need to look for.

Glad our manufacturer used 8 gauge wiring for our 12v fridge.
    The fridge manufacturer recommended 10.
Many have been using 12 or even 14 gauge wiring and putting them on the same circuits as lights which scares me.
Ask the RV manufacturer what gauge of wiring with their 12v fridges they are using before you buy.

What has your experience been with the 12v fridge? How long have you had it?

FYI - One of my best friends that lives in Dubai wants to move back to the US. I keep pushing him to go to your school. Let's hope so.

Yup. EXACTLY what’s happening with my Norcold 12v fridge. Can’t go through its cooling cycle even on fully charged batteries. Throws an E3 low-voltage code every time.

Would you purchase a 12v Norcold again? How long have you had yours?

12 volt fridge not cooling - I agree with the recommendations but would add, the load of the compressor is higher on startup, meaning higher current draw. The manufacturer of the RV or the installer of the fridge may not have used a large enough gauge wire for the startup load. The higher startup current can cause a higher voltage drop across the wire leaving not enough voltage to start the compressor. As the compressor ages, it will likely require more start current.
One way to check, if the wire is too small, would be to run a wire parallel to the original (both + and -) or to try a larger gauge wire by itself from the battery to the fridge if you have the skills.
I had a similar problem with a cheap 1KW inverter. It would trip the over load circuit on startup.

What about the stench the hot months bring in those black tanks ? Isn’t that why they use the chemicals ??

The answer to the question about the water heater is No it Should Not.
The treads are Pipe Treads. They are tapered and get tighter as you screw in the rod. You need to be careful not to over tighten and Crack the water heater tank👍

I was told years ago to add yeast occasionally to my Septic tank. I have been doing that from time to time for years and havent had any issues. Again this is a septic not a holding tank

12 volt RV Fridge Title and you talk about toilet treatments?

Todd, you talked briefly about 12v fridge during this video. I'm currently researching such a purchase, but I keep hearing about issues and 12v fridges dying after the first year or two. Do you think the technology just isn't there yet?

Greetings. I have an unrelated RV question for the experts, but I'm not sure where to post it. I hope you don't mind: I'm looking to purchase a new RV travel trailer and I'm not sure about what kind of ball mount I need. The manufacturer's rep said the model has a 22 1/4 inch coupler height. My receiver is at 16 inches. Based on this, I would assume that I need a mount with a 6 1/4 inch RISE. However, should I adjust to account for the weight of the trailer (basically, the hitch weight) as it would be applied when I have the trailer hooked up? I appreciate your advice on this very much.

Nope. Sorry guys. Your black tank is not a septic system. Your explanation of the flora breaking down things in the black tank is completely inaccurate.
