    Feel free to add a comment if you have any question or need some help! Be sure to select 'Apple Watch/No' for the heart rate sensor in HR2VP's Settings on your phone. Don't try to scan for Bluetooth Low Energy device if you want to use your Apple watch.

    What about Karoo 2 or Karoo 3?

    Honestly if it would be possible to have HR with the iPhone screen turned off, I would consider to take a subscription, but for now it's not practical :/

    Good news. I understand that the Iphone has to be connected via the HR2VP all the time. How much battery does this drain? What do you mean with the screen cannot be switched off? What about standby mode? Do you have to pay a subscription?

      @bipr  Před měsícem

      I was able to do 100km+ rides, so of course it will impact the battery but for a few hours it is fine. Maybe not for ultra endurance rides however... You can turn off GPS in HR2VP on the phone to optimize battery consumption. The screen of the phone needs to be ON, I'm not sure to see what you mean with stand by but if you press the power button to lock the screen once, the screen will be switched off and the app may not work properly. I invite you to try and confirm or not if it works. Concerning the subscription, you can try it for free for 15 minute workouts, in order to see if everything works fine and if so, the subscription is a bit less than 4$ a month. If you prefer to pay only once, the Lifetime is around 35$.

    I can’t make it work. I installed everything, disabled BLE, enabled Connect IQ data field. When I select Start Riding and Let’s Go, the iPhone app crashes

    • @bipr
      @bipr  Před 28 dny

      @@keped1 Did you install Garmin Connect? Is your Garmin paired with your iPhone? Do you see it connected in Garmin Connect? Another important thing: did you gran all permissions including location?

    • @keped1
      @keped1 Před 28 dny

      Yes to all of that. If I disable Connect IQ data field, it starts up alright. When enabling it shortly flips to Garmin Connect and return again. But when enabled it can’t start a workout without crashing

    I passed all steps, I can see HR on phone screen but nothing on garmin 130+.
    I enabled IQ and disabled BLE, do I need to add HR sensor on garmin or it should just appear on the activity screen?

    • @bipr
      @bipr  Před měsícem

      It should appear on the screen on the HR2VP field you added. Is your GPS connected to your phone with Garmin Connect?

    Just buy even the cheapest hr strap - more reliable and less pain in a$$ connecting this stuff.

    Sounds like a very complicated process!. To keep it simple and effective, I would rather use a most accurate heart rate monitor on this planet (Polar H10) and connect with Garmin Edge directly.

      @@amritv6889 Yes, this is a good option as well if you are ready to buy an extra hrm and have nothing again chest straps. In this case, if you are using the datafield, it will give you power estimations based on heart rate.
