- This video showcases all 30 bonus effects of the tarot cards and new reverse tarot cards when used with the reworked Tarot Cloth item in The Binding of Isaac Repentance. I will also showcase a mod called "Tarot Cloth+" created by Will that adds bonus effects for the missing 14 tarot cards.

A quick side note: some of the effects work when you use the Blank Card with Tarot Cloth and some don't. So don't be confused if you run into this situation.
There must have been a recent update to the game, but how come sometimes when I use XVIII - The Moon / IX - The Hermit (might also apply to XVII - The Stars, I haven't faced this interaction yet with it) I sometimes (but not always) get teleported to a room adjacent to the targeted room instead of inside of it?
@@WeAreToasty That might be Curse of the Maze, unless it's been removed as well. Yes it can do that, or it could unless it's been removed.

I heard is a bug, like instead of only doubleing it makes the expected efect and then it doubles it
@@YulsBolts the Sun is also weird to me. it doubles the damage and also deals it twice leading to 400 damage instead of the base 100 where you would normally expect 200 as most effects are doubling.
@@SlayXc2 I'm pretty sure what's happening is that they added the effects for when you have Tarot Cloth but then forgot to make it so that those cards aren't activated twice, so you end up getting a bunch of quadrupled effects (Empress gives 6 damage instead of 3, Sun deals 400 damage instead of 200, etc.). Interestingly, using Blank Card when you have Tarot Cloth seems to make the cards work as intended since they're only activating once.
@@SlayXc2 maybe some are a 25%, and the tarot cloth boost it to 100%? (Which is doubled effects) Maybe the sun was supposed to deal 200 dmg, without the cloth? Or maybe it was a coding mistake? Some questions we haven't ask to edmund, before the echo chamber nerf

you gotta give em credit for one thing tho, some of the new effects for Tarot are really creativelike being able to turn a greed fight into a normal shop, so now tarot cloth feels more like an upgrade rather than just double card effects.
i like that they compensated for the hierophant nerf by making its reverse variant drop a whooping 6 FUCKING BONE HEARTS HOLY SHIT (also, up to 14 golden chests wtf)

I had no idea about that mod that fixes the missing interactions. I had a really good Tarot Cloth run the other day with Starter Deck and there were a lot of useless cards.

I can get behind the normal moon giving you some pickups just to refund you some for checking out the secret room (feels a bit like discount justice but ok). The reverse moon doing the same though? I think it should give you an eternal heart or something home related or something.

It should give secret room item room layout, like how the hermit prevents greed and the stars gives an extra option.
It'd be cool if it took you to the regular secret room, and when you leave you teleport into the super secret

Wow the hierophsnt/lovers nerf is ridiculous especially considering how op some of the other tarot cloth buffs are
Pretty sure some of the quadrupled effects are bugs. Like reversed hierophant is probably only supposed to give 3 bone hearts, but it is also activating the card twice, so suddenly 6 bone hearts.
Not sure if you're still doing the viewer synergies series, but if you are:
Ludovico Technique + Monstro's Lung + Eye Of The Occult + Soy Milk
Rock Bottom + Flat Stone can be optionally added to make this better (and laggier)

Some of my effect suggestions for missing card.
The fool (here's a very interesting one): resets some items just like you entered a new floor (for example if you have the stairway item, it will spawn back, do not use with Sol item if you killed the boss as you will lose the buffs),
- also gives a holy shield for tainted lost for free.
The world: removes curse of the lost
Reversed emperor: killing the boss spawns a 2 choice item (more options effect, 3 if you have already more options).

4:08 oh, so that's why it killed me with bethanny. Just for info if you play a soul heart character each broken heart from the lovers also takes two soul hearts from you. Unless you have more then 8 soul hearts you are dead no matter how good your run was. And the worst thing is lemegetton crowds up really fast if you have a good run

The best use if Tarot Cloth + The Fool would be with the Genesis item so you could pick the exact items you want to lose.

Is the world? really supposed to open a path to the Error room? There's a bug currently where Black Markets are inaccessible from crawl spaces, and you get teleported to the Error room instead.
Well, the dev of the mod describes the effect like that so I would assume yes ^^
The bug is that paths to black markets go there as well, it's only meant to go to the error room if you walk off screen anywhere _other_ than to the right. The path to the left should take you to ERROR even once that gets fixed.
Personally I think it'd be better if things like wheel of fortune or judgement only spawned 1 thing but it had increased odds of paying out.
How many tears can be on screen? And what's the new tear cap?
Idk about on screen but I'm pretty sure the hard cap is 120 tears per second now

So i used reversed the lovers having tarot cloth in angel room with T-??? I though it would consume 4 soul hearts but instead it consmed more than i though and died. The worst part here is that it spawned godhead and sacred heart.

Ok it works like this. The card drops all of your money in the form of quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies. Those give you the money back. HOWEVER, if you actually had the quarter item, that one will also drop on top of that but NOT give you any coins back (you can see it in the video with the dollar), to prevent cheesing the card. The same is true for all other items that grant pickups like Libra for example. You only get the coins/bombs/keys back that you had at the moment.
