  • Ikea changed Markus in recent batches and their popular office chair got some changes. It is still a good choice as a gaming and office chair but there are differences that can bother you

I got this chair after seeing your review regarding the warranty claim after several years.
I thought the wobble thing is really only my issue and others are not experiencing this, but it seems like I'm wrong. The thing is, it doesn't matter if the chair wobbles or not, let's call that a minor flaw, but the fact that the chair is not sitting vertically as it should (cause of the wobble) is big deal for me and should be big deal for anyone else aswell. It is really noticeable, i noticed it after roughly 10 minutes after sitting in the chair itself, it is roughly 7-10mm of height difference when measured from the armrests. It always leans to the left for me.
I would strongly advise against getting this chair, it is overpriced, it doesn't get the basics right and might be health hazard for your back if used for prolonged amount of time.

It seems all are affected at this point
Do you use it at higher height than me?

@@donmarkon yes, but i don't think that makes much of a difference regarding the wobble, i didn't measure it at lower height levels of the chair, but judging just by the feel, it should be about the same.
I use it at roughly 80-100% of the height and honestly, i don't understand how the hell are you using your chair like the way you presented in the video (no hate). I generally go by the 90 degrees rule - 90 degrees at the knees and 90 degrees or a bit more at the elbows.

Hmmm. Five years ago, I purchased an office chair, Markus 22121. Now the chair's wheels no longer roll properly and are scratching the floor. Can they be replaced under warranty? I was refused a warranty at my local store.

I love mine (from pre-covid?), even got a cover made for the seat and headrest, cause you know, bodily oils :P I've removed the arm rests and got no wobble at the base in mine.
