Finally, Joe Root is back to the basics. One of the best batter of modern era
No need for Root to play bazball in a test match,he's better than that
Iove how today sky cricket didn't upload some video 😂😂
Joe root catch dropped by the keeper on 49 of kuldeep is massive and a defining moment in the game..Whenever Joe Root scores a hundred ENG usually wins. ...
Lords 2021?
That was not a catch what you smoking
@@vishwasshankar3929There's a word at the end he mentioned called usually.
Not this one!
Say again pls
India has 4 DRS against them. But they won't crib like Stokes. Remember also Stokes also dropped his bat to crib
Amazing what can happen when one batsman puts his head down and concentrates on accumulating runs .
Form is temporary but class is permanent. Root simply played just like he was supposed to play.
Thanks for that original cliché.
Power of Indian team that change system of England team🇮🇳
Change the system of England? Nah, Crawley, Bairstow were still going hard in the innings. It's individual the batters who are more naturally defensive root, foakes that batted in orthodox way.
@@elamcyril How was the Taste of Your Own England Team's Medicine, By Jaiswal Just a 22 Year Old Kid Bashed Your Team with 2 Double Centuries.. Was the Medicine Sour?... 😆😂🤣
Really exciting series this
Just hoping both he and Ollie can get to 350 before a wicket goes down.
One of Root's weaknesses for some strange reason is that he is vulnerable straight up after knocking up a century that is the next day. If he can bat as masterly and carefully again tomorrow morning there might be a really big 'daddy' century there for him and England, however he has to martial the tail expertly too. Good luck, Joe, you deserve a huge score after playing so well today and showing once again that class is permament while form is temporary.
You're absolutely right. I'm not going to put much money on the last three wickets adding many more tomorrow.
India was on the receiving end of poor umpire's call decisions. Why isn't Ben stokes crying about ir
How Long Does It Take For Sky To Publish The Highlights
Until Jasprit Bumrah Bowling in this Series Joshua Root was a Bowler from Batsman
Right.....
India are chokers!
And before this series, Root already had 11k Test runs. I hope we should talk about Root's century here. He played sensibly and this Test series is looking fantastic.
Batsmens like root, with the textbook style of batsmenship and class he has inbuilt form don't matter much.. ENG baz and stokes knew that pretty much clearer...
Root was fantastic but 'Ben Foakes weighed in' is the dismissive comment we've come to expect about his batting. England did not lose a wicket in the afternoon session because? Yep, Root and Foakes, again. He was second top scorer, although Robinson may slog past him.
Roooooooooooot
Joe root showed England how to play test cricket.
He showed India too how to play Test cricket. You know what? Root got bashed for his shot selection by English legends so he was supposed to play sensibly and that's what he did. His shot selection was the main issue. Don't blame anything else. Glad that he is back.
It's always says form is temporary and class is permanent root
Wow, to top those names on the most tons in lndia list is some achievement!
Roooooooot🎉
Seems like england might win thus if they can go close to 375- 400.
What a series
Absolutely, if India plays horrible cricket or else either India win or a draw
@@evilandrew1097 I think more like india needs to bat last in this pitch
@@vi7225
That depends how much India scores in its first innings
@evilandrew1097 absolutely, but if england scores around 400, that might not matter regardless . How many score of 500 in first inning you see these days. Almost 0
@@vi7225England will add no more than 50 tomorrow. I hope they do I think 260-280 is good score on this pitch.
Great hundred by root on a pitch doctored to favor r ( rank turner) ashwin. Certainly one of the best hundreds in recent times
Genuine question, how has the pitch been doctored in favour or Ashwin?
@@mayankdewli1010on your so called doctored/rank turner pitch 4/7 wickets has taken by fast bowlers. And 1 thing to remember that pitch is same for everyone
5 out of the 7 wickets fell to seamers.
None of the pitches this series have been raggers at all.
Ranchi is a good test match pitch and none of the 4 tests have given much assistance to the spinners in the 1st 3 innings of a test match.
this seems to be the most balanced pitch among all we have seen so far, others were flat batting road pitches
India Innings:
- Shubman Gill - Umpire's Call on Impact
- Rajat Patidar - Umpire's Call on Hitting
- Ashwin - Umpire's Call on Hitting
- Akash Deep - Umpire's Call on Hitting
England Innings:
- Ben Duckett - Umpire's Call on Hitting - Given Not Out
- Ollie Pope - Given Not Out, India successfully reviewed to reverse it on 3 Reds
- Bairstow - Given Not Out, India successfully reviewed to reverse it on 3 Reds
- Ollie Robinson - Given Not Out, looked plumb, 3 reds on replays, India didn't have reviews left
England Second innings:
Ollie Pope - Given out, umpire's call on review.
Joe Root given not out - successfully reviewed by India - three reds.
Ben Stokes - given not out, umpire's call.
10/11 on field decisions in England's favor so far. Imagine English media and Ben Stokes if this happened to them. More and more it's clear to see how much England plays the victim when things don't go their way.I have no doubts they'll talk about the pitch too again once this test is over.
It's easy. He ditched Bazball.
Didn't all the previous match situations require Joe Root to play a proper 'Joe Root' innings?
Shame it took Root 4 tests to realise Indian pitches have variable bounce so playing straight is better.welcome back Rooty😅
Highness Jasprit Bumrah Bowling Absence Helped Joshua Root score a Hundred
Interesting use of the question mark?
Rooooooot
The new hard ball on this pitch is going to dictate who wins, for instance how can a ball fly up and hit Crawleys gloves near his face off a good length and then a ball rolls along the ground to get Stokes when its soft. So the first 20 overs with new ball is going to be the hardest for batters, then the old ball rolling and keeping low will get worse as the test goes on. I just hope Root and Robertson don't go cheaply in the morning as we have seen many times in the past when two English batters start again day two.
Say it Atherstone.. he ditched bazball...
Everybody was saying reverse scoop was stupid...
But the thing is you guys are scared to criticise bazball
@Badabung-vu9wr they are not openly criticising bazball coz they believe its the best strategy...
But if common sense cricket works for root, why not for rest of english team ??
Being hyper aggressive leads to mistakes. U feel u gotta attack every ball and hence your defence becomes shaky too..
If your top guy ditches bazball, then why the bazball mantra all the time....
Few days ago duckett was attributing bazball to jaiswal, so now root ditching it implies what ??
There's no template to test cricket...
U play the situation....
@@abeguy7981 Yeah you are right. Playing aggressively leads to a higher chance of getting out. Your top guy can afford to ditch aggressive cricket because well...he is your top guy mate. He has played traditional cricket for the majority of his career. He is just so talented that he can play aggressive too.
As for the rest of English team, would you feel confident seeing Crawley & Duckett playing defensively? Coz they did it pre-Bazball and in the 4th innings of the previous test...and it went as good as you might have expected.
I am not saying they get it right every time. Sometimes, they genuinely miss out on chances where they can do more. But, its still a way of playing England have never done before. So there's bound to be mishaps. They will learn (hopefully) as they move on.
In India, it's Win TOSS- Win Test
Then How Tomorrow India Won ?
doesn't seem so now, let's see though
Are you sure?
In India, It's Win TOSS- or Loss Toss Test Series Will be Won By India, Either It is South Africa, England, NewZealand, Australia, etc: Atleast For a Decade, Consecutively for 17 Test Series... 👑
With Bumrah in 5 th test again Root will become a bowler once again..
“How Joe Root got back to his best” is not a question so no need for a question mark.
What's this hypocrisy @skycticket when you guys plays well you upload your expert analytical views appreciating England team videos within 2 hours after the end of days play but when ur team doesn't you guys somehow forget to appreciate opposition & delays in uploading videos. 😜😝😛

Whatever happened to Bazball ?
😂
I guess India taught him that.
He is lucky because Jaspit Bumrah was not playing.
He has got his best because he has no fear of Bumrah this match
All other 9 hundreds v/a India included Bumrah in the XI so ya, i disagree
@@Shailswap14
Bumrah's dismissed him 9 times.
Hush.
@@Shailswap14bumrah as much he is a world class bowler now debuted only 5 years back. Root debuted in 2012.
So not all 100s included bumrah. Dont lie to make a point.
But yes root is world class batsman and their duel is eye catching with bumrah having a upper hand now 👍🏼
What rubbish u r talking about pitch ? Out of form bater just scored century on it .. 😂🤣
Ever heard about out of form batters coming back in form when a team needs them the most? That happens a lot in cricket. Also, said out of form batter is one of the best players of spin and has an amazing record against India in India.
@@Badabung-vu9wr Then What Happened today @ Day 3 when His team Most Needed? 😆
@@Ram-mohan-1992. What happened was that a certain Ashwin who hasn't looked threatening throughout this series came back in form and rocked the whole English camp....just when his team needed it the most from their most experienced bowler lol. What I said applies to batsman and bowlers alike. It's a contest between the best of the best mate and Ashwin won this one plain and simple.
The point I was trying to make is that the pitch wasn't easy to bat on, but Root played a really good innings. The thing about being out of form applies to both sides playing the game. One can triumph over the other
🤷♂
Because Bumrah was not playing ...
Two biggest mouth holes on sky
