  • Let's look at how to install Beacon Hill™ Smooth or Flagstone pavers from Unilock, from product inspection to installation, to paver compaction, installation of joint material, and paver sealing.
Beacon Hill offers large format pavers with two distinct surface textures: our subtle Flagstone and sleek Smooth options.
Beacon Hill products are manufactured with EnduraColor™ technology, ensuring highly durable, fade-resistant surfaces.
During handling, it’s important to avoid unit-to-unit contact, to prevent damage to the pavers. Beacon Hill pavers are packaged with foam sheets between the units, to protect the EnduraColor surface during transport.
Available in 3-stone random bundles, Beacon Hill pavers can be laid in various patterns, including linear and random sizes. Always ensure you pull from multiple bundles for even color distribution. Once pavers have been installed, compact the entire surface before adding infill material between joints.
For joints, use polymeric sand that meets ASTM C144 or C33 specifications, filling 1/8” below paver edges. While sealing is not required, it may enhance colors and provide stain protection, based on homeowner preference.
With these tips in mind, you're well-equipped to tackle your Beacon Hill paver installation project with confidence.
Learn more about EnduraColor: The refined surface of Unilock EnduraColor products is achieved with a two-step manufacturing process that combines a base of coarser aggregates for a stronger foundation, with concentrated color and wear-resistant finer aggregates on top. This process protects the surface from the appearance of fading over time because the top layer prevents large, lighter color aggregates from ever showing through.
