It's not a big upset! Stan has got bottle and an unbelievable temperament for such a young age, two intrinsic qualities needed to be at the top of this sport, which I'm sure one day he will be.

Played at his old club on the table next to him. Made a 60+ break and said "nice break" and proceeded to have a good conversation with him. Real down to earth kid which suggests to me will approach his professional career with maturity even at 17. Good lad

He's a shite player and should be banned for all the crap he does before he takes a shot. He has to be putting his opponents off, this shouldn't be allowed.
This is a notable triumph given that Wilson has become a tough opponent in recent years.
moody is unwatchable. Whatever his mental problem is he should get psychiatric help before inflicting himself on the paying public, on which the sport depends. it was affecting Wilson who has enough struggles of his own without having to suffer Moody's excruciating OCD
Moody has great potential - coupled with the right mental tools to enable him to control his mindset and composure at those key moments- to help eliminate that indecisiveness , then he can become unstoppable.
He needs to be pulled for being so fidgetty, he's really annoying and If I was playing him he'd get the butt of the cue down the head. He's either got ADHD or he's deliberately trying to put his opponents off. he shouldn't be allowed on the circuit for me.

That is bloody impressive. But he really needs to work 0n his ticks. The endless checking, chalking and walking drives one nuts... and it does not help him. But that will improve.

It takes time for him to think all those options through because he still needs some experience. He should indeed speed up as he grows older and more experienced.
The fact that he sees all the options and bothers to think them through also means that he's a much richer and more mature player than primitive single ball potters - which is very impressive at his age.
@@MetteC5 He shouldn't be allowed play, if that was any of the older players carrying on like that they'd be banned. Why is he getting special treatment is what I say. He's not stupid, he knows what he's doing.
Every snooker player knows that you can't perform like that during a match. It's like he's got ants in his pants he can't stop twitching which puts the opponent off.
Nobody needs to take that long to make a descision. it's not as if the shots he's thinking about are that complicated. If he needs to go to special needs school then so be it. he shouldn't be on the tour, one of the worse players to watch in the history of the game. I'm surprised players aren't complaining about him already because the viwers who know the game can see it clearly.
@@MetteC5 It means he's got some kind of imbalance if you as me or else he's putting it on. No player shoiuld have to put up with that during a match , He never stops moving. He plays like a child who's never seen a snooker table before. At 17 he should know the order of pots he should need 50 seconds to figure out every shot.
It's not rocket science. He's either slow, badly trained or he's deliberately tripple checking every shot to buy himself more time in order to put the opponent off.

I'm not being biased as a fan, but I don't think he is a rocket style player. Depending on the competition he faces, he may even (hypothetically) win more Wchamp's than Ronnie, due to lack of competition etc. But you can objectively say he streets away from what Ronnie was. Still a fantastic young player.

Watched the game where he got knocked out, and I have to say...What was the walking around the table looking at all the angles about. as when you'd take a shot you always left your opponent on. It's no good posing if you can't play. Unfortunately it was the worst match I have ever seen in decades of watching.

He was a massive underdog. Has so many u forced errors in his game. Long way to go. 1000s of people can slap balls in have tons. It’s the consistency that’s the hardest thing to master. Cutting the small mistakes out. He’s a long way yet. Not that it can’t happen for him

This is the first tournament (excluding the shootout) where he's actually qualified for it .. and then he won a match ... and now TWO matches...and he's in the last 16... good for you Stan!
