I remember being younger..like my early 20's and having my first place and taking peoples furniture they threw away and sanding and painting them in my little living room..but it was always so basic..one color with new knobs. I wish I had the creativity to make stuff like this. I did enjoy refinishing things and making them my own though. There was no internet back then to get ideas like this...I had books but half the stuff I saw I could never pull off.
It's not hard to be creative like this, but it just takes time to figure it out. A good way to get the juices flowing is to completely prepare your project, such as sanding down the entire furniture piece, then you look for inspiration. Walking through a craft store for an hour or swiping through Etsy posts is really easy.
Anything new takes practice to develop competency and practice. Stenciling is harder thanit looks3 toline things up. Remember, if its not what you like you can paint it over and re do it. It's paint, okay??

Why doesn’t the the stencil on the drawers fill the whole area? I know it was a decision you made you are a very talented high quality artist & craftsman, I m just asking how you decided that?
