Thanks for yet another great tip,.. I use the video links to the videos I create on CZcams for customers to get a look at what I am talking to them about, especially round steel gate frames with wood fill.

Do I advertise I do fences or I do fencing

It kind of depends on which term is most popular in your market area. Fencing can also mean people in skin tight clothes swatting each other with skinny swords, so I generally use fence, such as fence installation, fence contractor, fence builder, fence contractor. You get the idea. If you have a Google ads account, you can use the Google Keyword Planner to find which fence related keywords are searched most often in your area.

Is your Fencing business bigger than Eastern Fence ? or Maritime Fence that's Owned by Vinci 3rd biggest construction company world wide? Do you have more than 80 years experience of fence building? Do you have down hole hammers? Do you install Guard rail? Do you own a fleet of Auger Trucks? Do you deal with some of the hardest rock to drill threw to install fence posts? Probably not, so you're advice is extremely limited. BTW Eastern Fence is one of the oldest fencing companies in all of North America that's why no one know's who you are.

Congrats, I guess? A company with that kind of experience likely isn’t looking for advise or help with their business, so that’s not who the channels are for. You’re right that I’m only a third generation owner of a company that’s only almost 70 years old, but there are likely others out there newly starting out in the business that would welcome the free advice.

@@joeeverest-clips2995 I'm in the industry on a huge scope. If you are only building Fences in easy digging areas, and 4-6ft chain link or 6.6 wood which is the law here with out permits. Rezzy fences it's easy, gas pounder will serve you well if you enjoy using a ladder to hit the trigger. But if you live in a province/State with rock it costs Thousands for the equipment specially for commercials fences/ security rated 9 gauge barbared tops with 3- 61/2 terminals and what if you need 5-6 ft holes for 18-24 tall poles and you are on bedrock how are you getting those holes done with out serious equipment. Fence building seems easy but doing it right has skills specially in places. So you are a master fence building is what you say? OK so answer this if you need to make your Chainlink fence do a round turn What is your distance for posts to make that round turn using commerical top rail.... Only pros know this answer

Admittedly, our company is on the smaller side (under $10MM a year). Our largest commercial projects are typically perimeter fences for solar projects that are essentially large rectangles. We’re a single-location shop, our family has looked at the multi-location models like Eastern, Superior, Seegars, etc. and decided that we weren’t wanting to travel to build fence for profit margins that were lower than residential and light commercial. The examples of large heavy commercial projects we looked at ended up around 30-35% GP, where in residential & light commercial we typically see GP in the 45-50% range. We operate in a 60 mile radius and specialize in residential and light commercial, leaving government/highway work to the union shops that enjoy that type of work. It sounds like you specialize in large scale heavy commercial projects, which isn’t a segment that’s well served on CZcams. I’d encourage you to start a channel and provide content for that segment of the industry
