Hundreds of idle SANDF vehicles revived after refurbishment

- Hundreds of South African National Defence Force army vehicles that have been standing idle for years have now been given a complete overhaul and are back in use. In 2021, refurbishment of the vehicles was undertaken by the South African Technical Service Personnel.

interesting that Cuban technicians were needed to assist us to maintain / refurbish vehicles which were designed and built locally.....
Budget cuts and private sactor milking Dod to the bone made goverment to get cubans.
They did skills transfer which private sector was not willing to pass, in order to protect their finacial interest. Now we have in house skilled people
- Cubans are cheap labour, South African engineers were going to charge way more, more than what the SANDF is given to survive with.

Do we have a credible air defence system because the world had changed now to ,suicide drones,reconnaissance drones,to combat drones.What is our shield ,seemingly all the hardware w witness here is personal carriers,trucks to carry ammunitions.I guess we re lagging behind with more hardware , how many Fighter jets w have at this current time which are combat ready? Tanks? etc .We need more .
Also revive the Eiland
We designed and built them, but needed Cubans to fix, what our military broke, and do not have the skills to fix?

Our local technicians charge way unreasonable prices and after thar they do shoby work
@@modisemakokwe4256 So, service is contracted out, to do work that the " Tiffies ", otherwise known as the TDK / TSC ( Tegniese Diens Korps / Technical Services Core ) used to fix " In-house "?
This work is thus given to contractors that are clearly out of their depth, and skill level, due to absurd government policies, that do not bennefit the military, the tax payer, and therefore the country?
Yip, says absolutely nothing for us, as a whole. We definitely look super stupid, don't we?
Why not scrap or sell off all these vehicles? The money raised can be used to fund the appointment of more generals. We dont need vehicles to fight a war - we need generals!!

What if we face a military coupe again sa defense this country is no long a strong like it was everyone thinks about taking instead of building a strong military age group is worse but if war come they'll be like Ukraine.
