- Hello guys and gals, it's me Mutahar again! When it comes to total conversion mods a.k.a mods that are designed to change a game into something else entirely I've found a lost mod that was sitting on my hard drives that turns San Andreas into a pretty faithful remake of Terminator 2. I haven't seen anyone cover this in years so I decided to sit down and try this out. Thanks for watching!

Actually impressed that they accurately got the scenes recreated in the GTA SA engine and had small details despite the CJ model still sticking there. They made this mod with a heart, it's like a licensed Terminator game for the PS2 that'd be shown in gaming magazines and be cancelled and later become lost media.

I swear san andreas is just one of those games that can't die or get old because they're just so good. It's like budokai tenkaichi 3 or left 4 dead 2
Fr, I started playing gta sa again and it’s so much stuff. Back then I’ll just do the first 5 missions and call it a day

NGL I kind of want to make a street racing centered mod of my own lol. Part of the appeal, I think, is the low barrier to entry.

Muta, you know what's weirder about the LSPD garage? There was supposed to be a mission to either break in or disguise as a cop to get back your lowrider after the race mission with Cesar (kind of a gta v heist approach), if you do the break in approach, you will get cops but for some weird reason, the pathfinding for the AI wouldn't work for some reason, I'm not sure if this was the reason the mission was cut for

Forget the mod the fact that this game didn’t crash 86 times in the making of this video is mind boggling on its own.
The reason for the falling and dying loop is because the mission is supposed to spawn you in a interior but it isn't loaded. I think when you failed you also hit the trigger to go outside and it deloaded the interior. Speedrunners encounter this in the 2nd part of end of the line (end of the line was such a big mission they had to split it into 3 parts) when leaving smokes crack fortress when they skip gang territories and end of the line part 1.
Yes, there is a specific "universe" the game needs to switch to when changing to each interior (some of them share universes which was key to the glitch to jetpack to Liberty City).
I am guessing the failure condition resets them to the standard universe but when resuming the mission the mod doesn't switch back to the correct interior universe.
Most interiors are located in the area of 0, 0 (the center of the map), which is why they fall into the farm area.
Don't worry Muta, you're not the only one who saw Terminator 2 with his mom for the first time. I'm also grateful that my mom introduced me to this franchise along with A nightmare on Elm Street, Silence of the lambs and Robocop.

This is amazing! The real lost media is the CZcams video I saw years ago that was an edited video of Terminator 2 that I can't find any more. It was basically this movie but all done in GTA SA with music, voice acting, cinematography and everything.
Yeah this one too, I vaguely remember it came with on screen chinese subtitle. There's also the GTA Vice City version but I dont think it was made with the same person

idk what is more impressive. the fact you have those files. or the fact you havent wiped or cleaned your HDD in over 13 years.
My mom also introduced me to the Terminator franchise as well as the original Star Wars trilogy when I was young. Terminator 1 scared me to death and I'll never forget the first time I watched it. Anyone who hasn't seen T1 and T2 really are missing out on some of the greatest films ever made.

Playing GTA SA online on PC with crazy mods back in the day was an experience
this mod is brilliant lowkey, how synonymous Terminator 2 is with early 90s LA
and they already had the mission "just business" where it is a terminator reference.

It’s printed on a two-sided disc with some neat cover art on the box.
The game itself is based on version 1.01 and features mods.
Everything is automated in the install so in theory, you do not have to install anything else.
I am not sure if it will work on Win10, Win11 or even Linux though but I will try to install and show it.

I wonder what happened to the original modder who did Judgement Game, he should've resumed his mod for:
1. Compatibilities on modern displays, with 60fps support.
2. Huge advancement of modding tools that he may love, especially the ones that involved custom animations.
3. Graphics mods that may semi-resemble the visuals of the movie.

Damn this is a goldy right here! I remember all the old CZcams vids of this in the mid 2000s and 10s. This and Vice City had great movie mods
video idea: looking at unused content in the godzilla ps4 game, because it is extremely rare and obscure to find anyone talking about unused content about the game, I've only seen one actual video about it. I've heard that you could potentially hack the game to see the unused content but i dont know it if its possible, there are only a limited amount of discs and the game is unlisted.

Hey muta check the wide-screen fix you have installed
Because of it your map is strechy over the actual map which makes it a bit annoying
Also move your face cam from top right corner to middle of the screen on some side so we can see the hud aswell.

I remember watching scenes recreating Terminator 2 in San Andreas growing up. This takes me back
You know the wayback machine exists, right? I have to use it to get all the decent Morrowind mods. All your lost mods are there somewhere.
Lost? Since when?? I mean, I have it on my physical discs for decades now and I know of it's existence. And I'm not joking. But this mod was never finished because of the rights holders to Terminator franchise back then, when this mod came out. That was what, like in 2013 or something, I don't remember already. They simply saw the gameplay videos on youtube back then and just contacted the author of this mod and told him to stop working on it. That is what happened to this mod. At least that is what the author of this mod said back in the days. I remember following this mod, I played every version of it, which is quite few, until the development of this mod was shut down.
Also, Muta if you need more mods for GTA games, you know like from back in the days, I know one or two websites where you can get them still. Like GTA Berlin for example, or freaking Mortal Kombat mod that was around 2012. There is crap tons of mods that has been lost and everybody forgot about them. And one of the coolest ones is the snow mod for GTA 3, where there is snow in Liberty City, everyone is wearing warm clothes, cars driving specifically and it has cristmas theme, with few new locations added in to the game.
And yes, I watched Terminator 2. Heck I grew up watching Terminator 1, 2 and when I was a teenager I watched Terminator 3 and Terminator Salvation. Heck I saw them all, even that TV show that they made back in the day. Well except last one. I didn't watched last one because, even from the trailer, that one was dumpster crap. So I skipped that one.

Might try and dig this out, looks great. The best Terminator mod I found was for Fallout 3, called Cybernetic Dawn. Well worth hunting for if you like Terminator mods - among other things, it had a setpiece battle between the Resistence and the Machines in one of the towns and even had a recruitable Terminator companion :D

My mom introduced me to horror movies back in 96 when we got the original scream on pay per view. I remembered having to go to the gas station to call the cable company to order it because we didn’t have a land line and cell phones were still expensive and usually leased lol I slept with a hammer in my bed for like 3 days and swore I’d never watch another scary movie. About a week later I really wanted to watch it again and we ordered it again and I was hooked lol had a similar incident with my first horror game. I was at a friends house when I was like 9 or 10 and remember his older sister saying that we were too young to play that one and of course when we were left alone we immediately dug out that game and played it. I remember instantly dying over and over getting scared until I turned it off and we both said we would never touch it again but 3-4 years later my neighbor gives me a game and said he can’t beat it and wanted me to try. After a week or so I get hooked and it became my all time favorite game franchise ever!!! That game was the OG resident evil 2 on PS1
Dude you HAVE to find a way to share this thing. Losing this to time would be tragic. IMO preserving these higher quality mods is almost more important than the game itself. The game is a reflection the state of pop culture and the times. However the mods, reflect the state of the public's impressions, reactions and inspiration to the game. I want the 90s and early 2000s internet back please! Its startin to stink around here lol.
if you can’t release it you should do a full playthrough
You can play 60 fps, you just have to reduce affinity to just one core. The core count is the reason for the way game handles, it was made for single core CPU's.
