22 Jump Street wasn’t a flop. In fact, it was more profitable than the first. I personally like this one over the 2nd. This is where Channing Tatum really started finding his footing as an actor.
As someone mentioned in the comments, Johnny Depp and Peter Deluise were from the television show along with some other cameos (Holly Robinson Pete). The show was cool when I use to watch the reruns, but the series is definitely for an audience of a different era.

He was great in Dear John, The Dilemma(with comedy) Coach Carter, Step up, She’s the man (he wasnt comedic relief so i dont count it as comedy for him), GI Joe, and The Vow before this movie dropped… Channing been fucking the acting game long dick style for like 8 years before this movie came out

@@iwantmoney1239 let’s see. Dear John tried to capitalize off the Notebook fan base. Coach Carter was a Sam Jackson movie that made money, but is mostly forgotten about. The Dilemma failed critically and financially. Step Up similar to Dear John tried to tap into a trend that was already done. These movies are far from classics.
Funny thing is those 2 guys were actually from the original TV show 21 jump street and so was a lady cop that gave him the car

The sequel was very successful and quite funny, but I definitely wouldn't recommend you watch it if you didn't care for this one Lol It's basically the first movie x1000 🤣

the undercover cops at the end were the original main characters of the tv show that his is based on. as well as them being famous actors themselves (the lady that gave them the car in the intro was a main character on the tv show this is based on. that part was major because it means this movie is in the same universe as the o.g series

Johnny Depp was not only the dea agent but I think in the original show as a 21 jump officer. Lol I was the same when I got stabbed in the last fight I was in, was stabbed in the arm and didn't even know until 20 minutes later and felt a burn in my arm, sweat was getting into the wound. Got a scar from it too.
