I've been around the drags for over 30 yrs and I really like what the boys from OKC 405 have done for the sport.
As for Kye he is a Gentlemen and a great racer!
I'm a big fan of Daddy Dave. He is one of the best drivers in the sport. He may be a little crusty at times but he is usually very polite and a Great drag racer.
I barely concern myself with NHRA any more but I follow Street Outlaws closely. The 405 boys have carved out a great niche for themselves! They are fantastic racers.
And from what I hear, they are genuinely good people as well.

Yep more to being fast than just HP set up and driving can be the difference and usually is. John force following all the same rules as others for years dominated drag racing in NHRA as his set up and driving was better than the others. HP was never the issue they all had power, many tried so hard they smoked the tires too much. It is that fine line of grip and power that separates the good from the great.
No one said anything about the difference in horsepower they proved the car can run well the trip down the lane before all depends on the moment set up the track Dave got very lucky that's it .Dave had slower car for sure.
You gotta admit that it awesome to watch when they can all get along like this and be happy !!! Wish all of it was like this ,,

daddy Dave had tire shake right after launch, had to peddle it, that is why Kye shot out in the lead. Dave got the power back down, and when Kye broke loose,and had to peddle it, Dave came around for the win. both cars are stupid fast. and with cars of this caliber it always comes down to tenths of a second.
American Muscle Guy Like the guy above me said, they both left hard but you see Dave's front end go down when he peddled it but he peddled it extremely fast cause he can drive. When he peddled is when Kye went by and started pulling so hard. Both cars are really fast and I think it would be super close if they both made clean passes!

Daddy Dave played that race smart. He killed time as Kye relies on his tires to be warm and Dave made sure his tires cooled enough to start. Basic stalling and smart racing on Dave's part. Good run.
