Gimme Gimme Gimme, playing possibly the filthiest character of all time in Linda LaHughes, brilliant. The episode with the prisoner penpal played by Phil Daniels was the best.

Hi Ash, what nobody has mentioned is, Kathy Burke is also an award winning dramatic actress. She won best actress at the Cannes film festival, for the film Nil By Mouth directed by Gary Oldman.

Kathy Burke who plays Nan's daughter is an absolute legend. She is hilarious in shows like Harry Enfield and Chums and Gimme Gimme Gimme.
Speaking of Gimme Gimme Gimme, I wonder if that Tom they speak of in this video is the same Tom from that show as Kathy Burke's character Linda lives with a gay flatmate named Tom lol.

My mum was like my nan. Though swearing in my parents house would get you a slap around the head. I never had the balls to swear in front of my grandparents. Lol. The woman who played the daughter was Kathy Burke, she is an awesome in everything she does. She did a lot of work with Harry Enfield. She is brilliant at playing Waynetta Slob.
Kathy is a brilliant actress award winning in both comedy and serious drama. This is a rare acting appearance from her as she gave up acting some years ago and is now a theatre and TV director, so this is a bit of a treat for the fans. She also makes excellent TV documentaries.
You nailed the laugh
Kathy Burke also played a spy in one of the later re-makes of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. I loved her in the Harry Enfield sketch show, almost died laughing watching her in Gimme,Gimmee, Gimmee, and the Kevin & Perry Go Large movie, but this I'd never seen before, and it just makes me love her all the more :-) She is easily one of the funniest actors I've ever seen, as well as one of the best dramatic actors, too. She has so much range that most people don't even recognise her in some roles, she's so good (AND under-rated by some who just see her as a type cast comedy actor).
3:35 is *Nitin Ganatra* who's best known for playing *Masood Ahmed* in the soap *Eastenders* from 2007-2016 and again from 2018-2019.
He appeared in the comedy film *Eaten by Lions* (2018) which is produced by a company, whose address is just a normal house a mile up the road from me, and partly filmed in my city. It also stars *Jack Carroll* (a comedian who won Britain's Got Talent), *Asim Chaudhry* (best known for his People Just Do Nothing character Chabuddy G which he sometimes uses outside the show too), and *Johnny Vegas.*
Kathy burke she is famous in England. Oh and the Indian guy is famous too , soap opera and a comedy show before that

I've only heard older people say "nibbles2 but it generally means like little dry snack things like potato chips, nuts etc
my great grandmother was apparently just like Nan-nice to your face and then would verbally tear you to pieces once you leave. My dad said he remembered her dragging him to her local butcher shop with a joint of beef in a carrier bag. She apparently slammed it down on the counter and said “so whats this fucking shit you sold me?” She ended up getting a stuttered apology and a new joint of beef and some extra cuts of meat on the house 😂😂😂

My nan was very much like this minus the swearing. Ugly baby I remember comments like this. Shoe polish sketch was spot on like my nan. She had some back stabbing qualities also and dressed exactly the same.

I would have loved to have had my nan around, but she passed when my mum was 3. If my mum is anything to go by then she would have a wicked sense of humour, saying that she did marry my G/dad and he's a basketcase so she must have had the patience of a saint. I can imagine she must have been an amazing person to still have his heart 53 years later as he never has remarried or dated.

My nan is 96 and exactly like this, When I first met my ex she used to piss herself laughing at "The Royal Family" I just sat there saying this is just like sitting with my family.
