One of the best actors Mr. Heston was and Hollywood treated him like crap!! By far these movies were awesome. And I do give the producers credit for keeping all the new ape movies along the story line and tying back into each other.. I still watch them today. Just as good as they were when I was a kid watching them the first time .
Oh, BS, you TrumpBot. They only turned his back on him when sold out to represent the criminal NRA. Have you not read about their shenanigans in the news?
Cheesy trailers, yet the original Planet of the Apes is one of my all time favorite movies. The writing or telling...behind the mind of Rod brought Pierre's vision to a much higher level.
R.I.P. Maurice Evans (1901-1989), John Houston (1906-1987), Lew Ayres (1908-1996), James Gregory (1911-2002), Ricardo Montalban (1920-2009), Kim Hunter (1922-2002), Charlton Heston (1923-2008), Claude Akins (1926-1994), Roddy McDowall (1928-1998), Severn Darden (1929-1995) and James Franciscus (1934-1991).
@@berserklover897 He left out DOZENS more. This was over a half-century ago. In fact, you'd be hard-pressed to fine any of the actors from any of the movies still alive today. Even Natalie Trundy died recently; she was from four of the movies and the main producer's wife at the time.
this was when they made real movies with practical effects, cgi is ok if used limitedly but some producers get carried away, like Lucas in the Star Wars prequels, the technology at that time wasn't perfected to the point to use it throughout a whole movie.
Personally, I am a BIG FAN of the "Planet of the Apes" series. However, I wish for a new kind of original "Apes" movie that is to be faithful to the original Pierre Boulle novel. As for the sequels, I think there should be remakes of them by the filmmakers who can bring them into new, alternate reality settings.
I've always liked that story about Charlton Heston and Kim Hunter's meeting at the film premiere. She approached him and said, hi Chuck! He had no idea who she was, until she told him. He has said in past interviews, prior to filming Planet of the Apes, he had never seen or worked with Kim Hunter before. He also said, during filming, he always saw her as an ape and never out of make-up. She said in past interviews, that she always love the character Dr. Zira, but had a very difficult time wearing the make up. She said, that she was relieved when they killed off her character in the third film.
In the close-up of Caesar yelling his classic line, "Now, fight like apes!" the studio later blurred out, or attempted to blur out, his mouth to hide Roddy's real mouth, clearly visible behind the appliances. But in the original run, or in the "Go Ape" release of all five films in the theater, they did not, and it was jarringly obvious.
Great movie. It's amazing how with all our technology our modern age turned this creative, epic story into an anti animal testing hippie boring silly movie.
cgi is shit, it feels like actors and animated characters wouldn't interact or being in the same space, one of the few reasonable places for cgi is far in the background.

It probably wasn't considered cheesy over a HALF-CENTURY ago.
@@generalyellor2187 You are absolutely correct!
2018 is the 50th anniversary of POTA.
The best science fiction series ever
And the smartest
Absolutely 100% correct.
Hell yes!! 👍
This was one of the most frightening films ever!
As a little kid - I had a true adulthood crush on Ms. Linda Harrison.

BayareaGuy06 You forgot Sal Mineo (1939-1976)

but ... nova linda harrison lives!
I love this movie❤️❤️❤️
It seems like the trailers spoiled the entire movies when they came out
Creepy Closet yeah everyone says today movies are ruined by trailers, but look at how much they gave away in one trailer in 1968 no less!
Just like they do these days. No, with the internet, it's far worse these days.
Favorites list...
1. Conquest
2. Beneath
3. planet of the apes
4.battle
5.escape.
You preferred ANY of them over the original? Wow. And Escape is last on your list!?! WTseriousF?
better cgi than power rangers.

Huh.. the Robot from Lost in Space is the narrator for "Escape from the Planet of the Apes". I kept waiting for "Danger Will Robinson, Danger!!".
all the movies were much better than the cheap commercials lol

Excellent upload! Thank you!

theapeman2004 Ironic, considering Heston himself would don ape makeup.
She never said she was "relieved" that her beloved character was killed off. She was just glad not to have to put the makeup on again.

will have to watch
I'm starting to like Conquest of the Planet of the Apes
pretty much seen all the movie now this trailer.
Pfft. Who cares? If you haven't seen this mesmerizing, half-century old classic by now, you likely never will.
Great movie. It's amazing how with all our technology our modern age turned this creative, epic story into an anti animal testing hippie boring silly movie.
Like what are you talking about?
I'm talking about the latest two remakes, one was in... 2001/2 I think, the other one was more recent.
JartaMan Yes, but it's also prophetic! It shows the end result of White people voting for Libshit Demorats!
It’s a documentary about Palm Beach and Ft Lauderdale
0:28 I thought bacteria was the lowest order of living things.
genetiles got the tab
The problem with some of these trailers is that they give away the entire story. No point in seeing the movie now.
Words of a complete tool. I mean fool.
y que pasó con Nova???
Who is the narrator? sounds like the same guy who did jonny quest
He's not a "narrator." He's not part of the story, just selling the movie(s).
ما فيه نسخة مترجم عربي
I don't think I've seen the last 2. But I prefer the reboots
09:06 LOL!!!
Well 3 outta 5 are good..lol

Worst trailer by far was 'Escape', it showed every major plot point and joke from the movie in sequence.
This looks so corny lol 😆
