- This video is for all the students that ask how I manipulate the 6010 cellulose rod. With not much explaining, I wanted you guys to see some vivid arc shots to understand my travel speed, rod angle, and manipulation. Thanks for dropping by. Peace

So glad I found this channel. A welding channel that ACTUALLY SHOWS WELDING! You'd think this was a no-brainer. Most channels are so focused on instructional they forget to SHOW YOU the actual welding. Very nicely done here. That 6010 must be a real nightmare to film!
Yeah it is actually brother. It always breaks your phone 😂. It never fails. This videos cost hundreds of dollars due to their damage.
Great job on the channel. You introduce the topic. Mention some highlights and get right into the welding. Just terrific!@@VantageWelding
Thanks for the support man!!
This is what the students needed! Thank you. Bettered my game with this one. Also be careful on how close you put the phone, the arc noise and heat will burn your camera mic
Definitely bro. I wish I could get real close. You have no idea how many screens have been cracked by 6010 sparks. Hey bro do I follow you on Instagram?
Just the video I needed 🤝🏽💯
Best way in welding
buen video saludos
Gracia carnal. Saludos
Darn good job. I’ve welded over 40 years. 6010’s have yellow jacket’s built in them. Lol.
Thank you brother.
👍😎
Watching the purdy blue lite and fighting yellow jackets. Somebody’s got to do it.
Before you start the next rod are you supposed to clean off the slag from the previous rod? My teacher says I should, but I see a bunch of YT vids where they don't lol
You don’t have to, but why take the risk of you have doubts. I usually either hit it with the rod and burn right over it.
Question: are you floating the rod or laying it on there where the flux is touching?
When I whip away I give it a longer arc. When I go back into the puddle I get a tighter arc bro. Not all the way touching, but damn near. If that makes any sense
@@VantageWelding yes it does. So when u whip u pull back on the arc length, then when u pause u decrease the arc length
I'm a noob welder, just got my D1.1 over a year ago. Why did you use 6010 instead of 7018?
For show and tell
When you whip it
Do you jump the puddle or drag on it?
Over it?
What’s up brother. As I’m whipping forwards I’m giving it a long arc, and when I go back I go into a tighter arc right back in to the puddle.
Preciate it big bro I need to start practicing my welds I’ve been practicing running my beads trying to control my puddle, hopefully by the end of the year I can start structural welding
Of course you can. Even before the year of you want to brother. You got this. Anyone can weld. That’s the easy part of this kind of field. 🫡🙌
Nah man, I’ve burned through the mesh vents of my Keens from 6010😂 always burning my foot😂😂
Stay out of harm ways brother 😂
Imagine 6011 same
Similar, yes. Same, no!
I hate 6010
😂😂 why’s that brother?
@@VantageWelding all the spatter no matter what I set it on. But thankfully the Newport News shipyard doesn't use 6010 at all
@@dnice.757 bro ur lucky u work at at ship yard 😩😩😩
