I met Casey and Jean at a dinner in LA, and she was just a horrid person. Casey was trying o talk to me and my wife about our radio careers and she was impatient and rude until she went over to tak to HER people and then she made Casey stand there with them and listen to their boring chat. And then she pulled him to leave the gathering and was rude to the valet about the driver's side window being down.
Thank you for the video. I'm very heartbroken to see his small grave and that he's not where he wanted to be. She needs to give it up and give the children their father back.
i blame him he had no balls with his wife what she had a golden box i don't think so
You could tell she was when interviewed by 48 hrs. Horrid is actually too nice a description for her.
The Norwegian government is not gonna remove him
yes i have no respect for beta males@@vincentyanni6252
Clearly she only wanted his money. It happened my my great uncle (my moms uncle). He was married and his wife died in their late 50s. He remarried a woman from the US (we are Canadian) and it was clear she only married him for his money. When he became less cognitive, she changed all the funeral arrangements. Changed to a supervisor cheap cardboard casket and had a very basic funeral. Nobody spoke up unfortunately. She took all his money and ran. Only karma we found out is that she died 3 years later.
This is what can happen when you marry a disingenuous person for reasons other than genuine, unadulterated love. My sincerest condolences to the Kasem sons and daughters.
she must had a golden box
Bed sores happen when the person is not turned every 2-4 hours. I’m guessing he wasn’t taken care of properly.
Yes. It should NOT happen but sadly it does because of understaffing and/or staff that isnt properly trained
There should be a special place in Hell for those that abuse or neglect old people.
True
Little bit of ignorance right here. Bed sores are not always avoidable.
Yep, can at times be unavoidable when someone is T1D and near the end stages of life.
His wife was an overbearingly rude, control freak. She verbally as well as mentally abused him. The kids were not allowed to see their father. What makes a person have so much hate? Hell has a special place for people like Jean. Casey was America's son. His wishes to be buried at Forest Lawn, should have been granted. I looked forward to Casey's Top 40 every week. Thank you, Mobile Instinct, for honoring Casey.
She's selfish and a coward!
as someone who went through 8 failed marriages in 9 years, women are bitches
He needs a headstone, I feel mad for his kids!
His wife is a horrible person because she buried her husband in a country that he did not request to be buried
Casey deserves more than this..... I don't blame the kids but Jean.....
I guess he was suffering from dementia before he married Jean . May he rest in peace 🙏🏼SHALOM to his family 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I feel their pain , went through something similar ❤
He deserves better. I loved his show and listened every week as we counted down. A national treasure. R.I.P. Casey. You were loved. 🙏🏻
Keep your feet on the ground & keep reaching for the stars- Rest in paradise Mr Casey Kasem. You brought joy to me & siblings ever week💜💜 We listened to Casey every sunday for the countdown on the radio as a teen. We would even write down the top 40 songs. I hope he knew how much lives he truly touched💜 His 2nd wife was a true nut case. Condolences to his kids 💜💜
Thank you for taking time out to do this video. I feel bad for his children.
Such a beautiful cemetary! Thank you for a great but sad video of Casey Kasem. He had one of the best voices for radio and I always listened to his countdown!! I bet Norway is a beautiful place since they take good care of their cemetaries. Have fun and be safe!
The level of disrespect for him is just astounding. What an evil woman
His 2nd wife sounds like she's going to burn in Hell. She was so obvious in covering up her actions. NO ONE THAT RICH dies from bed sores if his money is used to provide real care.
I am friends with Kerri Kasem, his daughter. She has tried everything to help her father and his memory.
She cited her Norwegian heritage as a reason, but "loved and missed" is written in Swedish for some reason. This is just very strange to me.
I remember listening to him of the radio countdowns in the 90’s. Thanks for sharing what happened to him.
I remember Casey Kasem. Cruel not to respect your husband's last wishes. Beautiful cemetery.
She cited her Norwegian heritage as a reason, but "loved and missed" is written in Swedish for some reason.
His poor children. Heartbreaking. My elderly father of 82 is marrying a woman after knowing her for a month and a half. She is most unpleasant. I fear that this is going to be the same outcome for my family.
Such an awful situation🙀 Scooby is heartbroken💔🐕
What you have just described about the illness you spoke of is exactly what I am going through with my dad right now. We lost my mum exactly 1year this month September 2023. They were together for 67years. But my dad is always saying that there are people in the house. So many types of people & of course I say I can’t see them & he gets upset & starts saying I am in on the people being there. When I have gone along with him he can’t understand why I don’t make them leave. It’s just so sad. Sorry to take up the comment page with my problem’s it just your the first person I’ve come across who has spoken of this. Am so sorry for the gentleman’s family & what there going through. So hope they are able to sort this out. Many thanks 🇬🇧❤️
I fully understand, Atypical Parkinson's is rampant in my family, I have it myself but from testing over the last few years, Lewy Body is not what I have. Casey was my uncle's brother, and my parents had stories of them when they were young that they would be and do everything for their mother!
After all these years she has not even honored him with a headstone - that speaks volumes. That is ridiculous and totally exposes her motivation and selfishness / narcissism in having him taken to that country for her own personal fulfillment in some way.
I'm so glad you got to make the trip to Norway and to show us Casey's grave. I loved AT40. I listened every week.
Your knowledge of the circumstances involving Casey Kasem's demise and death is impressive and accurate. Clearly, you were a listener of American Top 40, as was I. As with all of your videos, this video is rich in information with tremendous scenery. This is what makes you great. Thank you so much. Stay safe and be well.
I'm so sorry for the children being shut out like that. How sad that she put a wedge between him and his family.
I love your videos man keep up the good work! Casey Kasem had an amazing life, but it's really sad to see how it disrespectfully ended!😕
And now he’s forever in Norway and not in the US
I work in long-term care and bed sores are not normal if they're turned every two hours like they're supposed to and if you keep good care of their skin if he died from sepsis of bedsores he was not taken care of properly
His wife was crazy, she abused him, his kids didn’t want money they made it clear, they just wanted to see their dad, the wife was crazy, I saw on tv throwing raw meat at the news people trying to do a story about them before Casey died. That’s a beautiful cemetery looks like a garden
Throwing raw meat?!… Damn, Get the grill fired up!.. Free food.👍
Yes she was crazy!! I watched the videos & she really put Casey in a sad predicament. Rest in paradise Casey Kasem-💜
@@butterfliesarefreetofly6964 Casey must have been in hell being isolated with his wife , she is evil and selfish,
It was a sad day when he passed away. My late father had dementia and he passed away from a massive heart attack a year after my mom passed away.
How is that relevant to this?
It's shameful how Casey was treated by his wife even up to the point of his death. Hope there's justice for his children someday.
She cited her Norwegian heritage as a reason, but "loved and missed" is written in Swedish for some reason.
This is very sad, he should have been buried in California, that is where he spent the majority of his life and loved the state of California. I am sure Norway likes him, but it isn't like the love California has for him. Now he doesn't even have headstone, disgraceful. He is bound to be forgotten out there.
Gosh. This guy couldn't even rest in peace. This is sad 😔
Very strange story. Very strange wife! Terrible choice for his children.
The whole situation is tragic. Jean did it to spite his kids. She just wanted his money. JMO
Yes, she's a coward and selfish woman!
Beautiful cemetery, but he at least needs a decent headstone. He does have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which I suppose gives him a memorial closer to where he called "home."
Very true
That is a beautiful cemetery but Casey does not belong there. He should be in California where his home was and where he said he wanted to be buried. I remember watching a video here awhile back all about his family’s struggles in his final years. It’s very sad.
I grew up listening to him on the radio. He was a legend. Love how you ended this video. ❤🌟
Very sad way to end up for such an awesome man. Whoever is responsible for this unflattering burial site needs to be held accountable. Very undeserving and undidignified. Thanks for the story. Sounds like he was suffering from poor judgement before he met that terrible woman.
He was blinded It wasn't for judgment And also he had no balls
LBD is the same thing Robin Williams had.
The 80’s was my teenage years & grew listening to Casey Kasem he was such a talented man & I loved him when was the true voice of Shaggy (In Scooby Doo) How he married that Jean Thompson I will never know 🤦🏻♀️ His death was heartbreaking he died because of neglect (Ulcerated Bedsores) No one should have to suffer like that 😢
Robin, the Boy Wonder: "Holy denigration, Batman- no one should have their final wishes disregarded in any way, shape or form". That would be an understatement, considering that Casey Kasem's final wishes was to be interred at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles CA, not Oslo, Norway!!!
That is just to sad. He deserved to be treated better. 😢😢
Makes me sick. I feel for his brother and kids.
Evil woman but beautiful cemetery. Thanks
I’m sorry that his final wishes were ignored and that he made a horrible choice in who he married.
I remember listening to him on the radio. I feel bad for his kids.
Kacey was an icon for my era, he should get more respect than this.😢
Jean Kasem is an absolute snake in the grass.
This cemetery is gorgeous.
That has to be the coolest cemetery ever.
Those wooden boxes are there for hiding the soil or hiding a open grave (for cremation) that is being used for later (same day or morning after). Also for not letting people step in it or animals digging.
He really had it rough. His second wife was awful to him. She’s cruel 😢
She cited her Norwegian heritage as a reason, but "loved and missed" is written in Swedish for some reason. Strange.
Thanks Chris! You are amazing showing us these places😊
I remember playing his show on the Radio station that I use to work at. It use to be on reel to reel and then on a CD every sunday afternoon. I always loved Scooby Doo back in the early 80's.
What a mean lady!!
Poor Casey and his kids!
Poor Casey. I LOVED scooby doo as a kid and still watch it as an adult. RIP Casey Kasem. You are still so loved by so many.
He was also the voice of (I believe) Jason on Battle the Planets.
@@RedPyramid-lf4sb never heard of it
Beautiful, thanks for the tour and information.
Casey was a Michigan native from Fenton, MI ❤
He was born in Detroit.
My grandmother came over on a ship with her parents from Oslo Norway, when she was 16 years old. It was the early 1900s. I really enjoyed walking through the beautiful cemetery with you.!
That’s awful what she’s done. Completely disregarding his blood relatives like that. At least the cemetery is really beautiful I guess. 😬😒
Yes the cemetery is truly beautiful so at least there's that
Sad story but cool to see you here in Norway! 👍😃
That was so weird when they randomly ended up not far from my city in Wa.
Yes, same here. I'm in Tacoma & remember hearing that he had been found in Gig Harbor... What? Why? Crazy ass wife!
@@nancyberry1039 Lol, exactly!
I loved him on American Top 40 ( Weekly Top 40).Also loved him as the voice of Norville " SHAGGY" Rogers. RIP💔
Great video Chris.
I remember listening to Casey on Sunday afternoons on the American top 40's back in the 80's
You're so nice and respectful. Thank you. Wow, Norway. Long ways away. It's pretty.
Gorgeous cemetery. What a weird thing to fight about. He should be buried in CA. On Sundays they play reruns of the top forty on a local radio station here in RVA.
Thanks for the video! Stay safe kiddo!
I love the quote ty
Terrible disease! My mother has been suffering from Parkinsons disease and she suffers from the same delusions, it's really bad because you can't convince them they are not true
Very strange situation, must be frustrating for his family, but like you said, quite a nice cemetery
Great memories of listening to his top 40 show. The man had a great voice for radio very recognizable.
His second wife is sketchy af.
Jean was a minor character on Cheers..
@@windsong8098 I know
She's a cuntrol freak", what a bizarre person;. Why isolate him¿?
This video is done very much like Lamont's videos. It's well done.
Nice Video Chris
🌷🌹🇮🇳🌹🌷
Thanks, Chris!
That’s utterly shameful, he needs a headstone at the least
Keep your feet on the ground , and keep reaching for the stars
I have to say, that is a beautiful cemetery. At least it is tended, and not a complete mess of weeds. I do understand why Casey wanted to be buried close to his friends and children back in Los Angeles. It is a shame his wishes were ignored. I listened to him do the countdown every week for many years.
What a beautiful cemetery, love the cat headstone ❤
I certainly am not one to speculate, but she is a terrible person. I feel for his children.
Such a sad ending to a great man. I remember listening to his broadcast every week as a kid, they were so important to me. His soothing voice and Entertaining stories helped me through a very difficult childhood.
In Seattle his countdown is on Every Sunday morning, to this day... I love it ! ✌✌ Old School... 206 SEATTLE
Dude did not die easy . Never get married folks
Wicked step mother.
I enjoy listening to "American TOp 40: The '70's" every week.
Rest in peace, Casey.
Thanks for all you do ❤ jean was a shady one for sure
she put him there and want even get him a head stone , thats messed up ..
Bedsores are common in negligent nursing homes! Sepsis from bed source could possibly lead to a nursing home being shut down in Washington state.
Wow what a beautiful cemetery
Beautiful cemetery. Unfortunate how it all worked out.
I cant believe he does not even have a nice grave stone! And everything involved before his death is very sad and weird! RIP Mr. Kasem.
Greetings from South Carolina
Beautiful cemetery. That's a fact I never knew, it would make a good trivia question.
Beautiful cemetery
that was nice grave yard with all the little pathways to walk down ,wonder why so many of same colour flowers there , can you imagine not been allowed to see your own father by a women he married , surly that not right , it sounds like she had something to hide keep moving there dad and wanting to cremate him .
Here in Sweden we can pay the cemetery to put flowers on the grave, then it is the same flower on every grave that has decided to have that, but I don't know if it the same in Norway.
This is crazy. I remember him on the American Top 40. That is so sad
On a sidenote..
i just realized how different european and US cemetaries are..
In the US you often can essentially drive up right to the grave which i always found a bit disrespectful.
European ones just feel more personal with flowers, walkways, hedges, idividual headstones etc.
More like a quiet park
Love those flowers growing, so much better than a vase with some wilting stems stuck in
Other than being possessive I wonder what her problem was?
Thanks Chris, stayin tuned!
🤠👍
that lamp post, on his grave, according to "google translate", means alaska missing, alaskad saknad......weirdd....
It says "Älskad och Saknad". Swedish for Loved and Missed.
I liked his voice 🥺
If he was so abused then where were the children then? How come the facilities didn't report her? There's crazy people and there's people saying abuse when there is none. Idk about all this.
They still play old Top 40 from the 70’s on Saturday afternoons here in Australia.
I just watched the 48 Hours episode about his death and family fighting, it’s so sad. His wife put him in a home, a private home of her friend who was a “nursing assistant”. This is where he developed the stage 3 bedsore on his back. This as not the care he deserved, in a cluttered bedroom surrounded by the friend’s Snoopy collection. Just horrendous.
Thanks, I'll look for that episode.
Don't tell us the wife is living the high life on his money and won't even pay for headstone some women are just pure evil hope his kids get the better of their evil stepmother and can put their dad to rest where he wanted to be buried
I have a shovel, who has a plane? I’m all in.
