I love Aljean’s books. I’ve read her Wizard of Oz and Casablanca books. They are my bibles for these films.

The reason return to Oz failed is because people don't realize the entire original Oz books are incredibly dark and frightening they are not the fun little fairy tales The wizard of Oz movie was. Return to Oz has been the best interpretation of all the books so far

Return to Oz failed because it was a badly miscast, poorly directed and sloppily written piece of garbage.

Try entering the Humanoid title: The Making Of The Wizard Of Oz documentary (1979) Let's see if this reply passes Google's mustard test.

who told her what to say about the "Hanging Munchkin" off camera because if it was a known fact that there was no hanging munchkin why didn't she know what to say when someone might ask about it and just say herself "It was a bird". I've seen both. The original version and the new version with the bird. Frank l Baum had a home around the corner and down the street from Graumans Chinese theater. I never hear anyone mention it.
