I watched this as a teenager. This series was one of the reasons I went to culinary school and became a chef.

So happy I found this! I used to watch this show after school. Good times. And I love the narrator's accent.

Same here, this used to come up on one of the channels just after school. At least by now, I can watch these anytime I want, since they're on CZcams now.

Back in the days when I watch these after school, we didn't have CZcams yet. The last time I saw this on TV was like in 1998.

@kappelmeister123 Thank you! I love her voice and was specifically snooping around to find out who she is. My husband and I used to watch the shows in the 80's and had such a good time. Glad to find them!

Omg! This is where it all started! When I was a kid, my sister and I would watch these episodes while we waited for our mother to finish cooking our dinner. Now I know why I love watching people cook and watch cooking ASMR videos. I'm so glad I came by this!

Me too. Just made Liver Pate, and I eat it on Vegetable crackers, etc. Made it in a $25 food processor lmao !! I remember the music at the end and everything. Awesome !! Now everything is on CZcams nowadays, etc. Nothing beats the good ol days though. Awesome show.

Loved watching these back in the day. The cooking style such as plate presentation is like a time machine of how culinary recipes and plating evolves over time. Techniques never change but plating and presentation is like fashion

I use to enjoy watching this on PBS.
I always wished they would post the recipe or post in online. I was never able to find any links, then. Still, I miss this show and "Dessert Circus"!

Cool to see these dishes. Although these dishes are very complicated to make, sometimes I would encounter consuming either the same or similar dishes if I attend the Bistro events that are hosted by the Beacon House Association of San Pedro.

Watching this show in the 80’s inspired me to be a great chef. I wasted $40,000 attending the Culinary Institute of America and went on to have a lackluster, mostly depressing career spanning 18 years before burning out of the industry having never risen above the rank of second cook. Now I drive a truck.
