However its videos like this one that is actually diluting the industry more so than the drink made in this video. As someone whose worked across the United States in award winning bars and restaurants it’s glaring obvious the reason thing in the cocktail world are so bastardized is bc most ppl are misinformed. It’s okay to make it your way or how your guest wants things but this video is not a sazerac cocktail. Sazerac .25 oz 2:1 Simple or .5 oz 1:1 Simple 5 dash Peychads bitters 2 oz. Rye Whiskey Stir; Julep Strain; Single Rocks Glass; Neat Rinse glass with absinthe; express lemon peel and discard. Pro tip: split the base with equal parts Cognac and Rye ;) PS 25% of every cocktail is water, ice is the most important ingredient.
