- Learn the easiest way to change your fenders on your western saddle.
This is shown on a Natural Horseman Saddles Western Freedom, however, the principles should be relatively the same no matter your saddle or saddle tree.

Thank you. Very helpful! ❤
That was a great instructional video. I really appreciate you showing how the fender inserts into the tree using the bare tree model. Thanks so much!!
So welcome. Sorry for the late reply.. Just saw this here!
Thank you so much! I’ve had my saddle for over ten years and never knew how to do this.
Oh so glad this was helpful! Yay!
Thank you for this video!! I found an old saddle that I’m replacing some parts for and remaking for Friend for Christmas, the tree and the seat are still nice and solid but the leather on the fenders had been exposed to weather and not properly covered.
I was really struggling to find exactly where on the tree to feed my fender through and your tips really made it easy and helpful!
That’s awesome. So glad it helped you! It can be a tricky job!!!
I have a Harris Western pleasure show saddle, the tree under the seat area where the fender straps run through are "really" tight. I did not know if I was going to get my new fenders I ordered for shorter legs, through the bars of the tree. I used a slat out of a old metal blind, it worked perfect!! Same concept as your ruler. I had both changed out in 10 minutes.
Thank you for the informative video!
Well that’s clever of you! We are all about just being logical and creative in things. You did both!
Great demo! Thanks
thank you, you were very very Helpful
Awesome you found it useful
I just fought with my bighorn synthetic saddle to replace the fenders with shorter fenders. Took me way longer than it did for you!
Our saddles make it easy maybe? Either way glad you got there. 👍🏼
Hi Gretchen. I love my Durango Deep Seat lite u helped me buy.
It’s gotten pretty dirty over the last few months because of the dust. I keep brushing it off, but it actually needs to be cleaned. How do I clean my leather, not the suede, and my waxed cotton areas so that it’s shiny black again?
