We’ve all thought about and argued over it. Some of us even bet on it. Who is the fastest on-screen Speedster? We’ve binged and surfed to track down the most promising and powerful whiplash inducing mutants, meta-humans and inhumans to rank the top ten. We’re not just going to talk about them in terms of their velocity, but also what their speed enables them to do. Some can run on water, and others can create electromagnetic pulses (EMPs). Some can catch bullets in mid air, and some can move so fast it makes them untouchable in a fight. Some can even travel through time and voyage interdimensionally, making their story possibilities seem almost limitless as they can even create new timelines.
In order to make sure this list doesn’t get out of control, we are only allowing ourselves to pick one character per franchise, and from that we will showcase the fastest and most powerful iterations of that character. That way we don’t just end up with ten characters from the same television show or movie. And the characters must be able to run really, really fast.

Watching speedsters has been a universal fascination since time immemorial. Even people who say they hate watching sports will tune in to the 100 meter dash. This is because it embodies the human body’s physical manifestation of freedom. Running fast is the closest we’ll get to physically flying, and that’s why stories about speedsters will always have a special place in our hearts.

Ik imma sound like a geek but the reason he is called the reverse flash is because he as a speedster cannot access the speedforce, so he made his own speedforce that feeds off the speedforce that Barry Allen harnesses. Its called the negitive speed force, and basically since ( and I know this isn't mentioned on the screen but it is in the comics ) Barry is the epicentre of the speedforce, by which I mean he is basically the speedforce, the negitive speed force is a parasite, which uses the energy of the speedforce to power itself, which means the faster the flash becomes, the more energy the reverse flash has at his disposal

@@treywibur6967 its probably because super girl isn't powered by the speed force. Only speedsters are allowed to go through time lines and dimensions. Otherwise if someone that isn't a speedster goes through time, it fucks the timeline way more than speedsters.
if the flash wasnt trying why would he need supergirl to throw him instead of just going faster??? they did the race specifically because he was not fast enough to do it himself plus this was him at 4x speed and although now he is faster at that point supergirl and him were either the same speed or she was faster

The flash is so fast he can tear the earth apart or go back in time if he run using his full potential but he keep up so good just because of what he know will happen his speed is legendary for real
Flash is my favourite superhereo. Everyone else in that list is just fast on feet, Barry is so much more than JUST FAST. He has Superfast Healing, He can Phase through any object on his way, he can viberate at Air's frequency and become invisible, in Season 4 of CW's The Flash he lived a nuclear fission reaction (that usually takes less than 3 micro second) for freaking over 30 minutes. And, of course, he has access to the speedforce that is beyond the reach of space and time. No other speedster utilised Speed the way he did.

This inspired me to change the main gimmick of my own character (who hasn't appeared in anything yet) from being a robot to basically being so fast that she can basically teleport.

"Flashpoint" isn't one of the Flash powers. It's a story arc. Yes he can go back in time, but he doesn't always just create "a flashpoint"
The Flash can travel 6x the speed of light. The reason he does not get incirated, (Burned up/destroyed), is because he is using "THE SPEED FORCE" a special force that makes him fast and protects him. Until I read about the "SPEED FORCE" I had to call bullshit on the Flash... He would have been destroyed by the friction of air vs his body. Once they explained "The Speed Force" as a super power, then it made sense. The Speed Force, protects him from damage during his High Speed journeys. He can run into a wall without damage. The Flash is by far the fastest! I did really like how Super Man saw him in Justice League. Only Super man could see him move that fast...! and it was really funny. Barry is much like spider man.. he is a nice young man doing what it takes to help everyone~~~~

What about Metroman from Megamind. In less than a second, while everyone thinks he's being killed, he's travelling around, eating at a diner, flying a kite, and a bunch of other stuff while deciding what to do. He doesn't STOP time, he just travels that fast. Why isn't he on this list?
