Surf perch are so fun to catch! They are very good eating too. I've never fish that area. Maybe I'll try that beach soon.

Yeah! I love catching them on ultralight rod. It feels like you hook onto a giant every time 😂 good luck! I’m sure you’ll have a blast on that beach.

I've been to Muir Beach several times but never fished there… looks calmer and not as violent as Ocean Beach in San Francisco... Going to give it a try.… great place to cast far enough for Striped Bass without getting beat up by the surf…

I’ve never caught a striper from the surf before 😅 I agreed, this beach is a nice little spot to bring the entire family out for a little picnic and fishing . I’m definitely coming back here, too! Good luck! Hope you catch a big striper!
