It would have been easier to see the coverage of the paint was a different color than the primer or previous coat. I found when using high density foam rollers one of the problems was that a couple minutes after starting, the roller would start to actually suck paint back up or remove some of it while trying to smooth out any visible lines. Hopefully that won't be as obvious when I do the 2nd coat though. But it was supposed to be a single coat paint.

Using a high density foam roller with a tray a little wider than the roller (where you have room to roll out the paint) gives excellent results. I do this all the time and I am not aware of all the problems shown in this video.

If using gloss paint, once the coat has been applied, wait a moment and then very gently run over it with the roller (having been sure not to add any more pain), or simply use a dry clean brush to lay off. This person has little idea how to apply it properly. Work in 6-9 inch squares and blend them into each other. Most foam rollers result in the same finish if used correctly.
