- Introducing the first of a series of telephone calls that The Duchess held with participants from the Hold Still project.
The calls, which took place last autumn saw The Duchess speak to a number of the 100 finalists who shared their experiences of life during the first COVID-19 lockdown in the UK by submitting an image to Hold Still.

Not an awkward moment in that conversation and that isn’t easy. It shows that Catherine is naturally empathetic and has the ability to engage with people in having them talk about themselves by asking all the right questions. Very impressive.

That is the first time I have heard Duchess' Kate voice. I find her to be endearing and gracious when talking to little Mila. She carried on a conversation with Mila about several aspects of her life, genuinely finding a kinship of a mother AND a child!! As a photographer, I appreciate her perspective and bringing this book of photographs to the people, and I believe that one day she will make an INCREDIBLE Queen Consort!
