Never open your door to unknown strangers!!!! You never know what their intentions are such as to: rob, steal, assault, rape, murder, etc! Why take the risk??? If there is a true emergency, call 911 while you are safely locked inside your home!
I'd say use common sense. Saving someone's life can be worth the risk, but maybe take them by surprise and just pull them inside quickly, then lock the door. But be safe.

I think the one where the woman runs up to the house and ask someone to call 911 is suspicious. You could see she has a cell phone in her hand and is talking to somebody or letting them listen because it looks like she has it on speaker.

They need to outfit these ring cameras so that they spray neon luminescent paint that lasts for days, making it easy for police to identify them. Especially useful for porch pirates 😊

The lady that was telling the delivery driver he should never try to open her screen door I thought she was ignorant. At least he was trying to put the package between the doors so a porch pirate doesn’t take it. If I was him and I ever had to deliver to her again I’d just toss the package on her porch and walk away.

Hell yes. Standing outside her door for 30 seconds without knocking, taking pictures through the window, saying that he needs to get access to her breaker box past daylight. I'd call the cops right away and show them the footage so they could have a chat with him. Go through the police to let him know that he is being recorded & to leave you alone.

My thoughts exactly. I've seen a few like that. They come up to ask to "charge" their phone or to "use" a phone or ask the people inside to "call" someone/911 but they seem to have a functioning phone in their hand that has text messages that can be seen on the screen. It's so creepy. Stay safe. Always be aware of your surroundings even in your safe neighborhood. Always lock your doors & windows in your home and lock your car. No where is safe these days.
Someone knocked on my front door one night. I opened the door with my huge Bouvier Noah beside me. At the door was a man I had never seen before who said hi to me like he knew me. I asked him what I could do for him and he smiled and asked me how I was and said, "I see you still have your dog." I waited, saying nothing, and eventually he told me that his car had broken down at the end of the street and that he needed about thirty dollars to get it fixed. I just stared at him, still saying nothing. He eventually asked me if I could lend him the money. I said no and closed the door. I'm not sure what this was really all about and what would have happened if I had not opened the door with a huge dog by my side.
Having a dog can make a difference for sure. Having a gun makes even more. Keep them loaded.

Yeah, I always let my neighbors know if they have a package. We have a porch pirate that lives upstairs.
Also, some new neighbors moved in across the way and they kept leaving their keys in the lock. I had to keep telling them in my broken Spanish. 🤦♀️

Yep, I had to quit all "Amazon" deliveries. USPS, FedEx and UPS are fine but those basically temporary drivers just don't have any experience like people that do it as a full time living. Wrong house, wrong door, stuff like that is too risky. And that 4 a.m. nonsense in the dark? Passers by just can't resist when there's almost no chance anyone's watching. If anything they should just double their delivery personnel during light hours.

So...how are the police suppose to know that it isn't the owner? It's not like they can stop for everyone they see with a package. They didn't see him pick up the package and go to the side otherwise they would've stopped him. It's evident that the police are headed to a call. Someone standing on their steps watching the cops go by with a package in their hands isn't going to cause them to stop on the way to another call. It doesn't work like that. They cannot stop someone if they do not see that person take the package.
