This made me cry. You love the Hollywood history like many of us do. You communicate your enthusiasm and respect better than most of us. That is your gift. it's why so many of us tune in. Thank you Jordan the Lion.
Have you gone to Oatman Arizona? That’s where Clark and Carole spent their honeymoon (room preserved) and Clark would play poker with the miners.. A must see!
I didn’t realize it was you who did this video on the Carole Lombard story of the plane crash. I have such an interest in this story. I bought the book “ Fireball “, and it’s brilliant. Clark Gable was never the same again, he and Carole Lombard were made for each other. They were always smiling, they looked great together. Thanks Jordan, I was really happy you did this. Thank you 😀
I loved how the book was written. It was a great read, dad but well done.
There’s many errors in Fireball, not to mention Matzen took many liberties of actual events to create a fictional tabloid spin.
Whats really sad was her mother and others didn't want to fly, I think she should have flown by herself and let her mother ride on the train .
Thank you for taking us on this journey. I can only imagine what Clark was going through. I would have never got to see this place if it wasn't for you! I'm so greatful!!
gable never got over his love of Lombard. they are buried next to each other!!!! thanks Jordan. you are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So sad for Clark. Having to wait 3 days for word on whether or not Carole had made it. Very interesting vlog with lots of great information it. You did a wonderful job on this one. God bless both Clark and Carole.
This is so sad it is making me cry. It had to be torture for Clark to just sit and wait for any word. I hope and pray they are together again now and for always.
Such a sad story and it's good that Clark's last wife honored his wishes but that had to be a little odd for her as well. It was really cool to see the bullet holes though.
I actually visited the Pioneer Saloon in August 2019. It’s such an awesome place to see. We ate there and their pulled pork sandwich was delicious. It’s also a sad place to see because of the plane crash and how devastated Clark Gable was. I believe it was the owner’s son that waited on us. He filled us in a lot about the history of the saloon and showed us the cigar burns, their memorial to Carole and Clark, and the bullet holes in the wall. Actually, at least two people have been killed there...both I believe, before 1920. I’d definitely recommend visiting it. He told us about it being haunted as well. I’m from Ohio, but next visit to Vegas, I’d love to go again. Great job Jordan on all your vlogs. You do an awesome job and are very informative!
Thank you so much for this vlog! Clark Gable is of particular interest to me. My grandfather and Clark were cousins. I have watched your other vlogs on Clark but, this one spoke to me the most. The reason is because of the year that this occurred, 1942. I have a hand-written family tree that Clark himself wrote. We always wondered why it stopped in 1942 with my dad. For some reason, no one in the family ever pieced it together that it probably had a lot to do with the death of Carole Lombard and his lifestyle change afterwards. So, thank you very much! My dad will be 76 next month and is in ill health. I loved being able to show this to him.
I was disappointed, to see at the Memorial Room, that Carole Lombard's name was incorrectly spelled.
Carole Lombard's birth name was Jane Alice Peters.
I am a distant cousin of hers, related through her maternal Grandfather James Cheney.
Carole was born at 704 Rockhill St., Ft. Wayne, Indiana on Oct. 6, 1908.
James Cheney was a pioneer financier and was reputed to be the city's wealthiest man, when he died in 1903.
I am an advocate of keeping history straight and wish that they might correct this error.
Hoping they corrected her name.
Charlie--There is lots of laziness, online, and in items posted everywhere... The whole Gable-Lombard memorial room seems like a good idea, but it also seems like a money grab, if they cannot spell names correctly...
Some times it's a source of information snafu not disrespect to her legacy, of such a beautiful 🌎 Angel lost to soon in a terrible accident... Rest in Peace Ma and Pa...
Oh gosh Jordan, your bucket list was my favorite. I love Clark Gable and Carol Lumbard. True love, you can't go wrong.
Have you ever thought of hiking up to mtn. Potosi ?
His Grandson recently passed away here in Dallas....he was the host of a show called "Cheaters"
That's sad to hear. What was his name? And is this the same syndicated Cheaters show that catches and confronts people cheating on their spouse/sig other?
Yes I watched it, it was so sad he died!!!! 🐕🐕🐕🐕
@@busybee4436 His name was Clark Gable as well and yes that's the show
A really great tribute to 2 people who knew what love and devotion was. Ghost Adventures was here. Also there are still pieces of the plane on the mt. Clark and Carole aren't haunting anything. They are together forever!
The death of Carole Lombard, was such a tragedy. I had read the story about how Clark Gable went into a downward spiral following her death.
He really loved her!
What a tragedy! So sad! Never heard they called each other MA and PA! You’ll never believe what just came up from another saved video ... Kenny Rogers singing “Goodbye” ! Such a magical moment!
Find it and listen to it! I will never be able to ever hear it again without thinking of Clark & Carole! It is so fitting for their tragic ending! 🌹
I remember when Ghost Adventures went there. Such a sad story. . I'm surprised he didn't try for the 3 days to race up the mountain with the other search party members instead of waiting until then. Thank you for taking us with you, my friend.
crush41gb I thought the same thing.
crush41gb Clark did try to climb up. He turned back down. It was too much for him to handle.
I think he tried to go up twice, but was forced down by his party each time... So tragic!
A very sad story about Clark Gable and his wife, Carole Lombard. But an interesting video you've came up with. I really enjoyed it, thank you for posting your Vlogs for all to see. May God Bless You and keep you safe while you travel up and down the freeways.
AMEN!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Rest in Peace, Carole and Clark. You're together now
Such a sad story ; poor Carole ; and poor Clark losing the love of his life and nice of his wife to let him and Carole be buried together . That food looked delicious 👍🏻💙😎🎥🎬🐶🦁👍🏻
It wasn't a military plane, it was a regularly scheduled domestic flight. It made an unscheduled stop in Las Vegas. Boulder City was meant to have been a stop but its landing lights were out and so Vegas was substituted. The flight coordinates were not changed, hence the crash. You'd think, by the way, that they would put the e on Carol.
From what I've read, Gable knew there were no survivors at the time he got the news of the crash. Eddie Mannix accompanied the search party and saw what was left of Carole Lombard. He brought her earrings down from the mountain. They were recovering body parts, not whole bodies. Mannix was haunted by the experience for the rest of his life.
What a g8 vlog. Bitter sweet. Ma en Pa. Awsome piece of history shared. Glad we visited the bathroom gotta do it. The Pioneer salon. Wow!! Luv ruins very interesting too.
Wow what a moving video thank you for sharing I’m 68 Clark Gable was one of my favorite actors thank you
Incredible vlog. Such a sad ending to a love like that. Gable and Lombard were such a beautiful couple. You could tell in a few pictures of him at that particular time he was devastated. So sad. Glad you got to show us Jordan. And you can cross that off your bucket list😉. Thank you
So sad. It’s amazing to find the love of your life. I can’t imagine losing mine and the pain.
you are a Class Act Jordan thank you so much for the video. love your videos Man!
Sad but geat blog. Your bucketlist is my bucketlist. Thank you for sharing
Excellent !!! Thank you for traveling to the spot.
such a very sad story , but very informative...Jordan you seemed very sad doing your vlog today , I think when you get back home , give Jah a big hug , and he'll make you feel better.....thank you for taking us with you...
I don't believe it was numbers , sadly it was her time to go to meet the Lord....
I’m sooooo glad it’s still there and you were able to take us there!!!!!
Crying 😭 love them
That's some interesting history 📜 for the pioneer saloon thanks Jordan 🦁
Jordan , on a more lighter note Clark Gable's Gone with Wind co star Olivia Dehavilland just turned 104 years old and is alive and well
An interesting footnote is Carol Lombard was a follower of the Baha’i Faith. It is based on Progressive Revelation and
Started in the late 1800’s.
Sich a sad story. I had tears running down my cheecks as I watched this. They truly loved each other. A piece of him must of died as well on that day. I believe when it's your time to go it will happen. We can't stop it. I would love to visit that saloon so much history there. How was the ghost burger????? Peace to you
I had read somewhere that even though Carole and Clark had a great love for one another, one of the reasons she was determined to fly that day was she was concerned that he would be messing around with his co-star Lana Turner on the film set Somewhere I'll Find You. What a horribly sad ending to this lovely lady and I am gutted for Clark.
Jordan my friend, first thank you for doing a vlog from here. I have seen many people tell the story, but none as passionately and more fitting as yours. A very big thank you Jordan.
What a stunning little ghost town, wonderful saloon loved all the wood and stain glass. It is such a sad love story of Clark and Carole. Alot of famous people had the unfortunate luck of flip of coins or last minute change of plans and passed away due the change so young. At least she died with her mum, I hope it was very sudden and no one knew what was happening. You did a beautiful job very detailed, footage and wonderful editing. Tell Breck fantastic t-shirt, the market you were looking for is it the one that's serve yourself next a very old stone Gas station? I think that's Cool Springs. USA have stunning old towns makes you feel like your in a Western. Amazing Job Jordan. Thankyou for all the hard work.
Another excellent Vlog Jordan, such a sad and tragic story. Keep up the great work. Thank you.
Wow...two of my favorites...Clark & Carole. Thank you for taking us onsite for this sad part of the history of their lives. I always look forward to your Vlogs. Thank you. Be Blessed.
We Miss them
Thank you Jordan for all the history on Clark and Carol! So much I never knew at all! Your the best thank you for all you do for us
How tragically sad this story is. Gable had to have been devastated, as all accounts suggest. I watch these memorial videos on the event from time to time to be reminded. I also read the book about this event. I know many artifacts have been collected from the crash site, but have any other remains ever been found? I imagine there must be. Not to be ghoulish, but it seems remains and personal items should be given to family if there is any left. Gosh, it's all just so very sad. I sometimes meditate on this story when I scry or interpret my cards, just to see what comes through. Just devastating grief, every time. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for this one. So amazing yet sad
Please make a Jordan the Lion shirt with the word "classic" on it. Not only do you say it a lot, but you love the classic things.
and "Wow!" should go on it too! lol
I had heard they had the beacons off because a month before pearl harbor was attacked. So i guess we was in panic mode during that time. Such a shame. Great vlog Jordan! Thanks brother.
So sad. Well done. I read ‘Fireball’ last year, such a tragic story. Safe travels.
Sad to hear this Clark Gable & Carole Lombard's went through this RIP
How unfortunate. Reminds me of ritchie valens flipping a coin and then losing his life. So sad. What a cool little area though. Will you ever take the entire route 66 trip?
After her death, he went down. He did remarry to someone who was a blonde, and she had his baby. His son looks a little like his dad, but more like his mom. His grandson is dead. He was on something and I heard he died. The grandson looked more like his grandfather.
True !!!!😑🇬🇧
Jordan you have such respect for Hollywood's past. So moving. Thank you for honoring Carole and Clark. Did you tell them her name is misspelled?
What is it with these coin tosses and these plane crashes. The same thing happened with Ritchie Valens.Sad story. Nice of them in the restaurant to have that kind of shrine to them with all those pictures and everything. As sad as that was for Clark Gable, it is just really heartbreaking for Carole Lombard's life. She lost her boyfriend Russ Columbo in that so called accidental shooting and then she loses her own life so young. What a tragedy
Another great one Jordan thanks for all of the hard work that you put into these vlogs take care of yourself.
sad for him, have lost someone unexpectedly I never thought he was that good looking though
Glad you're ticking your bucket list, such a sad story. What a great little saloon. And the burgers looked yummy.
Another great time spent with you and Breck. Thanks so much for your time and history lesson. Love ya !
Very wonderful video. I highly recommend the book " Fireball :Carole Lombard and the Mystery of Flight 3 " by Robert Matzen . Not only does he speak of Carole and Clark but he gives great insight and stories of all of the other passengers and their lives as well .
Very Sad. Thanks for telling the story.
LOVED this one! Thanks so much for sharing their story with us. I've always loved him but wasn't very familiar with their marriage. My mom would have loved your video! Breck is such a great friend to take you to all these great places. Sherie R
Jordan, if you should see this, I just finished reading the book that was out in 2013 called Fireball: Carole Lombard and the Mystery of Flight 3 by Robert Matzen. It's absolutely amazing, and if you haven't read it, you might want to get it. Such a sad story. Thank you for this vlog.
Hi Jordan. When I get a chance I will send for you and Jah something from Greece. Love ya!
Superior video, wonderful job Jordan, thank you.
I wish you would travel to Area 51 the outskirts minus the Camo - Dudes....... nice vlog!!
Loved this episode
If you like real history, you can go to the gift shop at the Pioneer Saloon and get the book Quest for Success. It tells the story of a real miner and his family that would go to the Pioneer Saloon and other places in the area. They lived in the mid 1900's and they loved adventure.Check it out
I was there last summer!!
Excellent piece Jordan This was a tragic story..So sad..
I would love to see this place!
Enjoyed the trip and great background research on the tragedy.
Would love to see about vlog at the crash site
That was an awesome video, thank you!
Lovely video tribute to them! :) Just to let you know, it is actually pronounced Mt. "PO-tess-ee" (I know most people not from around here pronounce it "Pi-TOW-see")... easy to mispronounce. I haven't seen the spot myself yet, but it's a goal!
Spectacular Vlog Jordan! A lot of this information, I never knew! I loved watching classic movies with Carol and Clark! A Priceless tour for a memorable couple! 👏
nicely done
HELLOO JORDAN!!! THANKS FOR POSTING THIS VIDEO..
Enjoyed your blog.
So sad..thank you Jordan
In the middle of Fireball. Its an amazing book. So many details.
Again a coin toss!!??? I bet Ritche Valens wishes hed never flipped a coin? Great video!

REALLY COOL! GATE WAS NICE TOO!
Great location
Great vlog. Tragic story.love nostalgia.thank you Jordan and Breck? Jah!
Very well done. Just a little over a month after Pearl Harbor, too.
Interesting video. We have been to Good Springs. Did you on the way home, stop in Oatman Arizona to see the room where it is claimed Clark and Carol
spent there honeymoon?
Good video
Sad story! Great vlog!!!
Thank you so much. Another wonderful video. You have a gift, my man. By the way, how were their burgers? Just curious.
+RandyC really great!
This is so killer. I want to do a route 66 trip . great vlog .👽
Wonder if they ever corrected the misspelling of Carole's first name on the Memorial Room... It's important.
No. I was there recently and mentioned it again.. they said they know..
So Sad.. I Wondered If Anyone, Ever, Tried To Hike The Mountain ...
It is extremely rugged. Read Fireball!
I always wondered if Billy Zane's character in the movie The Memphis Belle was inspired by Clark Gable. His look and being the bombedier in the movie is very similar?
How did Clark become so special to You? What did Shelly have to say about Clark?
huggs,silky
O' his heart was broken 💔
I heard that the plane landed at Nellis instead of the commercial airport but the flight plan was from the commercial airport which is 10 or 15 miles away so the flight path was incorrect and the pilot was lead into the mountain instead of the gap between the mountains.
Too bad they didn't spell Carole's name correctly at the museum's tribute wall.( no "E" at the end.)
Morning Jordan
