Dashing in the snow...Tis the season to be in Deadwood. Hey look... the Cowboy Walter rides again! Nice to see that hat make a return for the weekend. Wow does Wild Bill ever sleep? He out again this morning! A lot of people sleep when they are dead but not Wild Bill. He is a bad ass mother fooker who never sleeps. Another cool bar and some mint chocolate chip Ice cream...YUM. Never mind the haunted hallway and rooms at the hotel...that carpet is enough to scare anyone with eyes open. Fremont Hotel!! LOL!!! I think you need to go to Vegas soon. Fun bourbon tasting! Reminds me of Gatlinburg. The Social Club looked very good, especially that shank. I love pork shanks. Tina always makes the best choices. She even did okay choosing you I guess. Fun day Walter and Tina...thanks for taking us along.
One thing I learned about Deadwood. Never ever visit until June! I do want to go back and stay at the Bullock Hotel. It was really cool. I would like to go to Vegas, but I doubt that is going to happen soon. Deadwood does remind you a little of Gatlinburg but with less kids, but more casinos and bars. The casinos are really neat. Some Casino Hotels like Cadillac Jacks and the Lodge at Deadwood are pretty good size. Lots of fun throughout the town. That pork shank at Deadwood was huge...two shanks, and very tasty. Rivaled Bennett's. My steak was outstanding as well. Take Care Andy! We love you and Simone!
Snow is beautiful! But the temperatures drop and I'm not a fan of cold weather. Poor Tamara and Gord of Vegas Best Ideas go through some terrible Winters in Canada. If you get a chance check out my video of Ely, Nevada in the snow. It was crazy! I'll see if I can find the link.
Thanks for sharing your trip to Deadwood! We passed through there about 10 years ago. Did you get a chance to see the cemetery where Wild Bill and Calamity Jane were buried? Very cool!
I've been there twice and have not gone to the cemetery yet. I kick myself when I get home. We will be back, and I definitely want to see it. We do love Deadwood, and the Black Hills.
