@@GSM92 Lots of heavy rain, wind, thunder and lots of lightning. It was one thunderstorm after another. These came through on Friday night and were gone. Then they unexpectedly came back last night. They weren't even in the forecast. The storms went on for hours. And the tornado warning sirens kept going off for our area. We have had periodic thunderstorms in the spring but nothing like this.

Is Nashville low lying? Built on a flood plain?
Poor drainage? How many rivers or streams run through here? To have this much water just swallow a bus and RV camper in a Walmart parking lot that is seriously deep and crazy amount of water! Which means there's quite a bit underwater that has been damaged.

I used to live in Antioch, off of Bell Road. My husband is a retired firefighter from Station 21 and I am a retired Sheriff's Deputy. We moved to Florida. This storm looks just as bad as the one 11 years ago. Murfreesboro Road was flooded. We actually saw a house float down the interstate. My husband said they had to use boats on Murfreesboro Road to get to the Somalian community because they refused to leave their apartments despite rising waters. The crazy thing is after rescuing them, they kept going back into the flood waters despite the rising creek behind their apartment complex. They had to call the Metro police for help because they were determined to stay in their flooded apartments despite the threats of water moccasins. After the flood waters receded, the apartments started getting green and black mold. It was an absolute disaster.
