in my opinion I don't think any joke should be off limits, but my line is when you interact with actual children is what makes it a problem. If we start limiting the types of jokes that can be said, then you can do that for pretty much any joke if anyone "feels" offended by it. You like fat jokes? well this person doesn't. You like blonde jokes? My friend is blonde and she thinks its rude and disrespectful. you can keep going with this till no joke can be made. The time and place for jokes is what matters. If you go to a comedy club then be ready for ALL jokes to be possibly used. I don't think saying a slur makes you hateful because if its not used in a derogatory way then that person isn't being hateful, but that doesn't mean im going to blurt it out because I know people dont like it and I choose to not do that because it does nothing but cause problems.
