- I kept to my word, dagnabbit!
We’re looking at Need for Speed: ProStreet on PS2 via PCSX2. Not the optimal way to play this game, but I don’t have a way to play it as it was intended. ProStreet isn’t bad, it’s just not very good or exciting. Maybe that’s because of the downgrades to get the game onto the PS2, so maybe I’ll come back to this game later running the HD version.
By the way, we're close to 1,000 subscribers as of this video! When and if we hit that milestone, I'd love to do a Q&A! If you want to ask me something for that, put the "QA:" prefix in your comment.

Ps2 version was good... ps3 was a masterclass in quality racing games
I wish autosculpt made it to newer NFS games, hell even Forza or GT. That was the BEST feature of this game. I love the fact that you can fully customize your car with free range
I've played prostreet on my orignal ps2 and I really like it
I'm proud of you for sticking with the PS2 version, but it does run surprisingly well on my windows 11 machine with a 2080 Super and a 9900K
I'd really reccomend trying to get the "full" experience before making a full verdict. You also completely ignored Speed Challenges?
As for the drifing events, atleast on PC, a handy rule to remember is that the gas makes your car want to move towards where its pointing, the brake makes it go back (for some reason) and the handbrake makes the car litterally go straight where the camera is pointing. It also wants you to let off the gas and shift the weight, like how you would with a real car.
Its a bitch to learn completely blind, but its really fun when you know how it works.
I hope you'll be able to do a re-evaluation of this game. It really is a gem if you stick with it.
I really hope so too. Also I didn't realize speed challenges were a thing until too late. Whoops
10:46 I feel like all these lines were meant to be cringy. intentional cringe from the writers is different from unintentional cringe
I played it on my old PC, oh boy good memories. The soundtrack is a banger, and the speed challenges till this day, have no direct rival or comparison in any other racing game I tried.
Used to play this on my PlayStation 2, miss that system, so many great games. By the way, nice video.
I love Pro Street but nothing will beat the jarring first experience of playing it on the Wii 😂
Same here
try the DS lol, that was my first experience until I got on ps2
@tommynobaka I actually did too 😂 I kinda liked it
I like that you invested so much time into an inferior version of the game. That is dedication to your craft. But if you really want to impress you should play the Wii version using only motion controls. 😅
You have a PC and yet didn't get the PC version of prostreet and just emulated?
If you had issues with the game not working right, theres community patches that fix it
edit: what is this review man...
1. Where am I supposed to find the PC version?
2. I thought it'd be an interesting perspective to look at the last-gen version compared to the HD version
3. And my Xbox 360 conveniently broke so I can't play it on that
@@squiddythekid3976 I had made a comment to you but youtube deleted it.
Its a bit of a long process to go through and the PC version wouldn't really fix the problems you have that much. So i can imagine this isn't worth your while.
But you can buy the game from Amazon and Ebay. But then you'll need to update it
