Everyone should know that Strider 2 when you play it you need to go to the menu system in the options and change the disk because it starts you on Strider 1. Its a little confusing at first.

I bought a lot of games the other day that I had on my list that I had planned on getting in the future anyway. There's a few gems for sure, many that I forgot about. I have most of the ones you mentioned. A few I didn't see on the store but like you said, the store was having a lot of crashing issues at the time. I will try again later today.

Update: 2 hours ago Sony retconned their decision to close the PS3 and Vita stores... The PSP store is still set to close on July 2... But good work all of us... We helped preserve the playabilty of these older systems for a while longer thanks to our swarming to the older shops... Now just occasionally buy a few older games and we might be able to stem it off even further.

What a timely video. 👍 I've been neglecting the PSN for years, and now I'm desperately scouring through it for anything that's remotely exclusive and/or worthwhile. I mean, I'd still want to have a physical copy of Suikoden 2 some day, but if it's a choice between a PSN download and paying some Ebay scalper upwards of $300 (which is the only other way to get this game legitimately), you'd at least want to have a digital PSN copy as a fallback.
The PS3 brings me back to 2012 - 2015 Back when my Brother & I bought dirt cheap PS1 games off the PlayStation Store & just watched either of us play it. I remember I bought Klonoa 1 on there. My Older Brother did not want to play it because he thought it was a kids game... until he picked it up and found out the game is actually pretty good. Challenging in fact. He used to drive me places and imitate Klonoa yelling. Lol

Games run smooth and look better than being blown up on the big screen. Most phone these days are the size of a switch lite and can run genshin impact. You poor sirs need a upgrade.

Final Fantasy Origins is a great buy. If you don't want to play Final Fantasy 1 and 2 on a GBA or GBA Player for gamecube, the PS1 version is fantastic. It has a lot of quality of life improvements over the NES version (which is available on the NES classic, but only FF1 and not FF2).

I loved Threads of Fate and gifted my copy to my friend that enjoyed it as well. I think I will pick it up digitally again soon as well as Klonoa and Um Jammer Lammy.
Double Dragon is my favorite fighting game to this day, spent hours playing it on my old ass window 98 PC with my cousins and my friends, good old time man.

I'm telling you, if you like adventure games, the first game to buy : Parasite Eve 1 (And after of course nobody should forget any of the big old classics, MGS, Crash, Tomb raider, Rayman, FF4 to FF9...)
After a stupid barrage of errors, I was able to purchase the games and dlc I wanted the most on PS3. Bought Syphon Filter 1-3, Resident Evil 1-3, Soul Reaver, Mass Destruction, Infamous : Festival of Blood, some Ratchet & Clank games, and Dead Space 2 & 3 DLC.
I forgot to mention that Haunting Ground is available in the PS3 PSN Japan store. Capcom silently released this five years ago, and I am wondering if you have it. If not, grab it .

Assault suit leynos, Silent Bomber & Panzer Bandit are in the japanese psn stores and they are really good especially Panzer Bandit that was only released in japan. Psychic Force 1 and 2 are another ps1 fighting games that are really good and they are in psn store usa and japan if i remember correctly.

I ended up picking up quite a few so far. Still plan to purchase more. The only thing I would say is, I downloaded 1 PS2 game, Fire Pro Wrestling Returns, and it took a few hours to download vs. a few minutes for the PS1 games so I’ll probably wind up getting mostly PS1 games. Some of these games are not available on the UK or AU store, because they were either not released in that region or they have been delisted over time. But for whatever good game that has not been delisted yet that you can't get elsewhere, you should definitely buy them while you still can!
i'm waiting for your download only ps vita list. thats where i'll probably spend the most. i went to you're older videos and found some i missed but i think we need a true list for the vita.
Great list, you've got some deep cuts on there I didn't even know existed. I've been looking at paying $100+ for the Saturn version of Wolf Fang for a while. Didn't even know there was a PS1 version, let alone on PSN. On the other hand, lists like these bum me out when I think of all the PS1 games I had back in the day & sold. Strider 2, Suikoden I & II, Castlevania Chronicles, Persona, Silent Hill, Final Fantasy Tactics...if only I'd known.
I am a bit annoyed with the stores closing down but some games I can get elsewhere. Tomb Raider I have on GOG. We have retro stores in Denmark with a lot of the games for PS1 and PSP. Lots of Vita games are on Steam also. Some games I will emulate if they are impossible to get anymore. It is like old Commodore 64 games that are not sold anymore. Some PS Vita I can still get for the system by buying the PS4 version.
Herc's adventures is pretty fun! I had a copy back in the day before my whole collection was stolen, isometric kind of rogue like game I guess, when you die you get sent to Hades and need to fight your way out to continue the game. Has some silly humour, I think it was lucasarts? FF Tactics is awesome too, grid/turn based strategy not so much jrpg, but there is hidden things to find around the map. I got the DS version recently in an EB Games clearance but haven't given it a bash yet.

will have to say somethig about Castlevania Symphony of the night. The best thing to do is to get Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles on the psp. Then you get the remake of Rondo of blood, Symphony of the night as a secret Unlock and Rondo of blood original as a secret unlock. 3 games in 1. Totaly worth it.

I beat that game as an adult and it was still a bit tricky the story is decent though

Some of these games are not available on the UK or AU store, because they were either not released in that region or they have been delisted over time. But for whatever good game that has not been delisted yet that you can't get elsewhere, you should definitely buy them while you still can!

Great list, you've got some deep cuts on there I didn't even know existed. I've been looking at paying $100+ for the Saturn version of Wolf Fang for a while. Didn't even know there was a PS1 version, let alone on PSN. On the other hand, lists like these bum me out when I think of all the PS1 games I had back in the day & sold. Strider 2, Suikoden I & II, Castlevania Chronicles, Persona, Silent Hill, Final Fantasy Tactics...if only I'd known.

One! I never hear anyone talk about that game. I own a physical copy and still play it a lot. I remember renting it at Blockbuster back in the day.

I am a bit annoyed with the stores closing down but some games I can get elsewhere. Tomb Raider I have on GOG. We have retro stores in Denmark with a lot of the games for PS1 and PSP. Lots of Vita games are on Steam also. Some games I will emulate if they are impossible to get anymore. It is like old Commodore 64 games that are not sold anymore. Some PS Vita I can still get for the system by buying the PS4 version.

Herc's adventures is pretty fun! I had a copy back in the day before my whole collection was stolen, isometric kind of rogue like game I guess, when you die you get sent to Hades and need to fight your way out to continue the game. Has some silly humour, I think it was lucasarts?
FF Tactics is awesome too, grid/turn based strategy not so much jrpg, but there is hidden things to find around the map. I got the DS version recently in an EB Games clearance but haven't given it a bash yet.
Ridge Racer Type 4 definitely looked like an early PS2 game. Pretty impressive for a PS1 game.

I would really like Sony to look back at the PS3 store and move everything to the PS Premium tier. And also include the games that got delisted (like Namco Museum, Chrono Cross, Xevious) it would be really nice to see those games in the tier and also the Agetec Simple series’ of titles

Get a European PSN account and get the game "Wrecked: Revenge Revisited"
will have to say somethig about Castlevania Symphony of the night. The best thing to do is to get Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles on the psp. Then you get the remake of Rondo of blood, Symphony of the night as a secret Unlock and Rondo of blood original as a secret unlock. 3 games in 1. Totaly worth it.
The old TV spot for Jet Moto 2 still makes me laugh to this day.
