- There are going to be many new pilots who choose the DJI Mini 2 as their very first drone so I have put together this detailed beginners guide and tutorial for the DJI Mini 2 to help new users learn about this drone. We cover all topics that a new pilot should know from the basics of getting ready to take your first flight. Along the way, we discuss some tips to help you have a successful first flight. I looked at 6 videos regarding my new drone before I found you and got REAL information. This is my first drone. I bought it yesterday. I charged batteries last night and watched videos this morning before I take it out. I will probably fly one battery's worth at about 4 feet off the ground to learn how to instinctively fly. I love that you ASSUME that I don't know crap. THANK YOU!

The mini 2 is badass Ive flown it like 10 times and it’s amazing . All I would say is the first time I fly try it in an open field just in case anything happens but it’s very simple to control

So, I got to say this video was the best beginner video I have found. I recently purchased this combo unit and successfully had my first indoor tutorial flight. I was scared of hitting something in my office but the tutorial in the app is very easy to follow. I can't wait to have another dry weather day to test this out at the park nearby. I now understand this drone bug that many have to capture beautiful images and video. And clean my gutters haha. Thank you for putting this video together from another fellow Canadian.

Thank you for the excellent tutorial delivered in a nice steady, informative and calm manner! I’m considering one of these, but I’m concerned there’s no obstacle avoidance. The immediate hover is a great feature, which I think will go some way to avoid the no avoidance handicap. I guess if I want avoidance I need to go above 250g. Thanks again.
Without a doubt the best teaching drone video I have viewed. Clear, concise and the guy knows his subject matter. I have subscribed and will watch all of his videos even if I don’t own the drone he is showing. You can learn much by just watching a good teacher and this guy is just that, a good teacher.

@@pb4travel Yes, I have still got it! It exceeded my expectations, it was a lot of fun. Obviously there was/is a lot to learn. One thing I enjoy the most is flying in the mountains. It's winter now where I live so I will probably start flying again in 2-3 months. I have uploaded some videos on my channel, should you want to see my first attempts.

@@pb4travel Sadly, not. You would need to get a different model which is bigger, more expensive and above 250 grams. I will mainly use it on my motorcycle travels so the Mini 2 was an obvious choice. I am hoping to do some nice flying this year in Norway, yay!

Just got this drone about 2 hours ago and was having a heck of a time getting it connected. Awesome video, everything is set now. Just a side note, if you are connecting the phone to the controller to the drone for the first time. Disconnect power cable to the drone, it doesn't like to connect while charging. Thanks again

Great tutorial. Does the camera have the "free mode", so it can stay/move independently of drone's orientation? Cheers.
It has an fpv mode where the gimble can tilt with the drone

There’s a mode where it locks on the horizon and will try to stay level. It also has an fpv mode to make the camera move with the drone like a race drone or something. Hope this helps!
