Hi Ken, I'm ashamed of my garden at the moment as it's done nothing but rain for weeks on end and I've wrecked my grass by walking on it. If you saw my garden you'd be saying "I thought she was supposed to like gardening!" Me and technology aren't a great combination and I wouldn't have a clue how to film, edit, upload etc. I can just about manage e-mail .No doubt I'll master the task one day but something will have superseded it by that time! Your parfuma rose collection is really impressive and I have been inspired to add few more to my rose collection. Will visit Hilliers garden centre near me and hope to purchase Raspberry parfuma and Porcelain parfuma as I already have Biss and Summer romance roses in our garden. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful video of lovely roses.
So lovely, your garden is looking fabulous. It will be beautiful and full of colour all season. You did right to buy those roses, you will have years of pleasure to come and whether in the ground or pots, when you move you can still take them with you. When we moved here at the end of '21 we had three of the really large moving trucks, two for furniture and one just for the garden things. I begged borrowed and looked on marketplace/ebay for pots cheap or being given away, asked at garden centres and nurseries etc for large pots and gathered as many as I could so I could dig up the plants I wanted to bring with me. As long as you are clear with your buyers what is staying and what you are taking you will be fine and most buyers want to put their own stamp on a garden anyway, our buyers wanted to plant vegetables remove the lawn etc so all my shrubs and roses etc were going to be tossed anyway! Before we listed the house I got as many into pots as I could and then explained to viewers what in-ground plants were not included. You enjoy your garden for as long as you are there, it's worth it and btw everything I brought here moved really well no losses but then I timed the move to be in the dormant period x
So let me get this right. You AND gav both get replacement princess Charlene de Monaco sent out to you. And I don’t even get a reply from them!!! Your roses are looking fab Lin and let’s hope your new roses and mine all do well. That magnolia is looking fab :) good to see your PL starting to wake up also. I’m hoping mine gets a shifty on its defo being left behind at present. :) well done Lin
@@Lin_Greenfinger You, Gav, and YOUR BROTHER get sent replacements! That’s even worse!!!!!! To be fair I didn’t ask for a replacement. I emailed them telling them them I was disappointed with the rose they sent me. I made a suggestion it needed an extra year in the ground to be sold at that price point…..I heard nothing back.
Are the Charlenes extra delicate? Or did you just get sickly roses? I have one coming from a instate grower in Colorado. Any suggestions on what type of location it would like. We get alot of wind and extremes of hot and cold weather.
@@irisjanemay1903 We just got a sickly one which has been replaced and it’s much healthier. I don’t know how it will do in our climate but will keep you updated.
Lovely roses you bought at Hilliers , made me smile, as i also went in there, and my jaw dropped to see so many of the parfuma collection there too. Only i bought so many bare root roses and i succumbed to two roses already, things are looking tight in regards space in the garden :/ I bought what i found out later was a Kordes rose "Calling you" (Kormarkron) and a rose called "Trendy" i believe from Pheno Geno , my first from them.
Good choices. I saw Trendy rose and I thought the colour was unique but I just love the Parfuma collection. I wish it would labelled with all the names it is known as, it’s so confusing. Looking forward to seeing our roses bloom.
With all those Parfuma roses you should have a very fragrant garden in the summer! I've just discovered that Amelanchier produce juneberries - and there's a lady in Pershore who planted a field of them and now makes Juneberry Gin - I bought a bottle last year. Don't stint yourself with buying plants because you think you might move - when our neighbours moved in a huge pantechnicon removal van drew up loaded not with furniture (which came the next day) but packed solid with dozens and dozens of shrubs, small trees, flowers, etc. I think they must have left the buyers of their old house with a severely depleted garden!

Yes. Both mine and my brother’s died. I sent pictures to them and a replacement was promptly sent. The new roses are much better.

I got this rose from Henry Street (online). Last time I checked it was out of stock. Good luck in your search !
what size planters do you use for the roses?
The pots are 40x40cm or 33 litres.
