Easy Steps On How To Play CSGO After CS2 Release

But now with the release of Counter Strike 2, many players are wondering if CSGO is gone for good. Well, I have some good news for you CSGO diehards. In this video, I'll show you how you can still play CSGO in 2023 even after Valve has released CS2.
🔍 What we know so far about accessing CSGO post-CS2 release:
When CS2 released on September 20th, 2023, Valve effectively overwritten CSGO by replacing it with CS2 in your Steam library. This led many to believe that CSGO was erased from existence.
🛠️ How to launch CSGO in Steam after CS2 release:
Let me show you step-by-step how to do this:
1.) Open your Steam library and go to CS2.
2.) Right click on CS2 and select Properties.
3.) Go to the Betas tab.
4.) In the drop down menu, select "csgo_demo_viewer".
5.) Wait for CS2 to update.
Once updated, CSGO should be playable again!
Now you can access community servers and play CSGO just like before!
❗ Cons of playing CSGO over CS2:
While this method works to access CSGO again, there’s a catch:
-No official servers and matchmaking
-No new updates or support after Jan 1, 2024
-Bug fixes and improvements only in CS2 now
-Playerbase will be fragmented across two games
So while you can play CSGO for nostalgia, CS2 is clearly the more supported game moving forward. But this at least gives hardcore CSGO fans an option to keep playing.
