    Yeah I am not surprised that it took him a while to get used to American food when he got home because I've heard some Americans say that when they travel overseas and eat food in foreigner countries and then when they come back to the states it is hard for them to eat regular American foods

    This is someone who served as a Missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ghana for 2 years! He is giving an account of his experiences in Ghana and is in no way trying to paint Ghana black! He loved every bit of Ghana and his story is beautiful! Pls stop jumping to the wrong conclusions!     No public restrooms in Ghana? Which part of Ghana did u go to? Because there are several public restrooms in Ghana. Plus the trotros mostly have cushioning made from mattress

      Actually using the gutters or anywhere outside as a lavatory is prohibited.

      You still see people urinating into gutters from time to time. I even saw this gentleman defecate into the ocean at Elmira castle; while foreign tourists were around. You can imagine what a scene like that would have on foreigners. I really hope authorities start to seriously enforce sanitation laws in Ghana.

      @@otumfuo3 oh yeah but even in America there are no restrooms in the middle of nowhere or?
      To say there are no restrooms in Ghana is a misrepresentation at the highest order but to say there are no restrooms on our highways is surely the case. But even that, if u are travelling from to Kumasi for instance, u will find Linda Dor along the way where there are decent restrooms. Then again he said Ghana is made up of mud houses and even in Accra.
      He could have said the area where he went had mud houses.

      @@a-games7431 in fact it would be good to recreate mud houses in some village to conserve energy. They are doing it in some parts of India and using solar energy for electricity. It's really cool. We must not be ashamed of our own heritage. The modern houses are European style house. It's a shame we have to copy Europeans standard all the time

    Lol... you went to a 0.05 % part of Ghana 🇬🇭. Next time please visit every part , or at least endeavor to do both sides ... good and bad. I am in the USA, and I see both sides...the nasty and the good. I took Uber one day and I told the Uber driver that the way they portray America it’s as if you won’t see “zongos” and villages, and street guys and girls or even prostitution on the roads.... you would think it’s all “Heaven”...and she said “ Africans need to tell and brand their own stories”. So yea, you see it in one guy going to one place and telling the story to encompass a whole country. Dude, visit the whole of Ghana then your story would be authentic. Or say “ where I visited “ qualify your story well.

      He's just telling his experience never said this was how Ghana is everywhere. I actually think he visited the BEST PART. The village is better than the city in terms of sustainability, respect of nature, and even friendliness! This is what makes us unique and we should be proud.

    That's the problem with the volunteering works for Whites in Africa. They mostly go to the remote areas and use these to represent the country. I think they should compare and contrast from one city to the other. Lol
